The Down Low: Blow By Blow
Day One
Do you hear that cracking? No? Well, that is my back cracking as I expressively pull my arms wide representing how open and free I am becoming. I am in the midst of an awakening, spiritually not so much sexually. I have always been very available to not being uncomfortable or shocked in situations that might scare or offend others, so as I write this about the first Gay trade show I have encountered, some might feel I have turned to the other side. Unfortunately, for the boys at this show who wished this, no.
In this crazy line of business I have designed, I am now branching in to new territories. I have to, well, I want to market not only to the hetero market but the Gay, Lesbian, BDSM, Fetish, and Swinger markets. There are others that derive from those markets, like swinger clubs, gentleman’s clubs, etc… but for now I am focusing on the efforts to delve into the five markets mentioned before.
So, as I begin my entry into the gay market…the first foray is the
Gay Erotic Expo LA 2004 trade show!
WOW! That is all I have to say. Just when I think I have seen it all… This show comes along.
It is a small show, smaller than I thought. Many vendors did not come due to missed flights due to the hurricanes in the south, whatever. There was still quite a strong wind blowing the gay contingent, showing the sponsoring vendors such as
Raging Stallion,
Falcon Studios,
RAD VIDEO, and numerous others.
It was so much fun. I was one of the very few heteros that were there. That was fun since every gay man wants to be the one to turn you. I felt like a sexy stripper at a bachelor party. Gay men, scratch that all men, seem so forward, or maybe it was because we were at a sex convention and the horny meter was turned on overdrive.

Anyway, I set up my booth not knowing what to expect. I immediately saw the Porn Star
Michael Brandon (AKA The Monster, more on that later), whom I had previously met at
ANMExpo.com when he introduced himself stating he wanted The Bonk’er for a fisting video he was producing. We have had several email correspondence and discussed several avenues for mutual business opportunities. When we met, he introduced me to his team of studs, his line up of ‘Raging Stallions’: Mario Ortiz, Parker Williams, and Steve Richards. Each was hornier than the next, especially (Steve Richards), that guy is all hands and kept trying to get into the Bonk’er and be showing off his goods to all the cameras. Who am I to stop that, free speech right? Great fun, and a good sport, all the participants in the show enjoyed it.

Jack Lawrence whom I had met at
Erotica LA 2003 a few months earlier. He was sporting a fireman’s uniform and was driving the men wild as he signed autographs and posed for pictures.
So the show begins and the crowds continue rolling in. I meet the security woman, Juanita, and the MC’s, the hilarious tranny, Cashetta and her buddy Lambert who entertained the masses. I meet Rachel of
Outrageoustoys.com, and a score of other vendors who are neighbors and sponsors of this event.
The vibrant haired trannies from (sexual awareness) were fun and loved to tease Steve and jump in The Bonk’er. Many patrons were amused at the constant entertainment, so was I, the MC’s did shows consistently all day and believed in shock value. I loved the shows, they were really pushing the limits, and of course I loved that aspect. I did not know they, or anyone else could get naked, but they did, full tilt boogie and then some. The stars not only got naked but also stroked, licked, and did more than could have gotten away at any other type of convention. I guess the convention center looks the other way, because Juanita, the security guard was on stage getting in the mix with them! She was absolutely crazy and full of life. I could not believe she was so wild and she was married too. She was on stage and touching them, playing all the games with the MC’s, and just when you think it couldn’t get crazier, it did.

Michael Brandon got on stage. While doing a show in front of the hundreds of spectators, he began a strip tease and then it got wild, all clothes are off and he starts stroking himself, pleasing the crowd more then even himself. He then had a ’friend’ get on stage and from behind him, started to massage his nipples and tease his neck, taking Brandon out of the moment on stage and into the ecstatic state that is where he needed to be for the show, and so the crowd was mesmerized as he literally exploded onto the crowd beneath him. I could not believe what I was witnessing. That was a show! The crowd loved it. I guess this must happen a lot at these shows because I think I was the only one shocked. Silly white heterosexual man I am. As I was shaking my head in shock, a police officer jumps on stage and physically takes Michaels hands behind his back and handcuffs him while taking him off the stage. The crowd did not know what to do run or hide, but then we see that the cop was actually actor
Jack Lawrence who had dressed up in a uniform he uses for these events. He told me later that Michael’s hands were still slimy. I know huh, some information you just don't need to know.

So the rest of the day consisted of other stars showing their wares, you get the point right? Well everyone in the crowd did. The MC’s Cashetta and Lambert were hilarious and the comedy was spot on. Lambert was from LA and Cashetta was from New York and flew in for this show. They were friends and had great chemistry on stage together. I laughed all day while tending the booth and modeling The Bonk’er. It is funny I would normally be pulling women into The Bonk’er to demonstrate, but here the clientele is different, a lot different! It is funny because whenever there was a woman it would be instinctual for me to just guide them in. The instinct isn’t so automatic with the men. Hmmm, so when I pulled in a few ‘women’ and found out they were not women (think Crying Game), I was again enlightened, you just can’t always tell.

Usually I get some models for the trade shows but for this, I can model. I can shake my ass and get the boys excited. I would grab on-lookers and pull them into the straps showing the possibilities. I would grab my whips and smack ass, and that’s when Steve would see me and again come running. He’d have to jump in The Bonk’er and I would have to grab someone to play in The Bonk’er so I would not have to deal with him trying to grab me.

As flattering as it was, the boy is just one horn dog! Anyway, the end of the day arrives much quicker than I thought it would have. I had a blast and loved the complete insanity of it all, as usual. I go home and tell my buddy Jeff, who usually helps out at these trade shows. He was busy that day and could not make it, but after I told him some of the antics and he saw that even I was shocked by what I had seen, he was in for day two. He had to see what it was that I was talking about.
Day Two
We both had no idea what we were in for.
Unfortunately, do to poor planning due to the convention center; the LA tri-athalon is happening and taking all the parking. We finally get into the show and setup. We show up and I introduce him to everyone I had met the previous day. The day starts out similar to the previous day. Different shows on stage with similar crowds.
My buddy,
Jeff Magnus, starts to witness the surroundings and what I did the day previous, and his mouth drops. The stars do their thing on stage and he walks around meeting consumers and vendors alike. He watches the shows but then they get even wilder than the day before. That’s when Cashetta and
Michael Brandon approach me to do a demo on stage. Well why not, got to live for now. I am feeling sexy and liberated. What is going to happen right?
I had the full rigging of The Bonk’er with the black leathered Bonk’er Body Sling, the Red leather Seat Strap, and the four arms in red on a queen-sized, red satin sheet bed. Sexy!
So imagine the sight of a white blonde haired transvestite, a black woman security guard, a black gay man, a naked white gay porn star, and me, in a tuxedo and cowboy hat, all on stage together. Well, Michael wanted to promote his new toy, a life-like dildo of his member he calls ‘The Monster’, and so he asked me if we could incorporate it into the demo. Of course we could. So I start by having Michael in some positions in the Bonk’er and that’s where it got wildly out of control and fun. Right there, at the beginning. Yes, I begin to show some positions and the crowd was receptive, fully knowing I was the token hetero, since Michael repeatedly told them, and so he strips for the crowd. That gets their attention. Since I was on the bed showing some basic positions, I get into the Bonk’er Body Sling. As I sit there with the microphone talking about the bed, Michael gets on top of me with his Monster and starts to demonstrate to the crowd the ease of use and the comfortable positioning while naked and on top of me. I see the audience is now WIDE eyed and completely shocked that I am doing this. Michael, Cashetta, and Lambert are all in hysterics at this and are having a ball. Many jokes fly and the audience love it.
That is when The Monster dildo comes out. So I get Michael into another position receptive for his own Monster, and I then call in the Juanita. There is only so far I can go since this is just the beginning of the demo. So I place Michael in a position available for the audience to witness and then I have Juanita manhandle the Monster and work it into Michael’s rear. I however, take the opportunity to tweak his nipples and excite the crowd a little. I had the attention to say the least. So I saw a lot of open mouths and “No he did not” shocked looks. She was working Michael well.
So then I flipped him around and showed off a few more positions and teased the crowd a little more with Michael and he began to stroke the countdown. As he began this countdown, His buddy came out to tease Michael. Nipple love and some neck tease, Monster began his magic. Well enough of this, my job is done here, so I begin to walk off stage, then I figure, screw it, and I jump in behind the friend of Michael and tweak his nipples. After getting this going I look over at the security guard lonely, and so I wave her over to tweak me. So there we have the most multicultural train, on stage in front of the crowds, audience in shock. She tweaks me, I tweak friend, and friend tweaks Michael, as Michael strokes the Monster for the crowd. It was definitely not your, or my, everyday experience.

GAY EROTICA LA 2004 and then explodes into the crowd. Unbelievable. Cameras were flashing, the crowds were cheering, Cashetta and Lambert were cracking jokes and calling me the 'formally' straight Bonkmaster. It was very surreal. As I walked through the crowd, high fives and nods of appreciation were recognized. Boys came up to me stating the show was amazing and that they loved it. All of a sudden there was way more interest in The Bonk’er and what it could do…People came to the booth and were asking all sorts of questions and getting in and trying it out. Crazy.

I ask Juanita, how would her husband feel about this? She responded, he doesn’t watch these films, so he’ll never know. Hmmm. Interesting, maybe he will know if he leads a secret life. You hear it all the time, crazier things have happened...
During all this,
Jeff was running around capturing the moment with video and stills. He couldn’t believe the insanity of how far it went on stage. Laughing the entire time we just cracked up for the rest of the day.
As the day progressed, we saw more traffic to the booth and people taking more pictures and getting into The Bonk’er. I meet and speak with Frank Strona from

Walking around the vendors I stroll past the Raging Stallion booth and sure enough, I witness another insane sight. I see a consumer who wanted a picture with Michael. At first it was normal and usual, but Michael has no issue about having his pants down for the photo shoot so the guy gets on his knees and mock kisses the Monster. Well Michael had no problem with it so the guy goes down on him for a photo. Michael enjoyed it and so the guy continued and went for it. Michael had no on e in the booth and was looking around for help, seeing me he waves me over. Knowing that Michael needs extra stimulation, I reluctantly helped out and tweaked his nipples while this craziness ensued. The cameras were flashing and I was cracking jokes and laughing at the sheer absurdity of the situation I was constantly getting into.

Michael kept talking to me the entire time. What do I say? The other guy couldn’t speak so I just kept talking to Michael. It was so surreal! Michael was telling me how he liked his nipples rubbed between his moans. Well then, again the Monster had his day and pictures were flashing and the crowd was going crazy. The bizarre thing was all the women who were intently watching while I was in this situation. After the end had come, several of them came up and talked to me stating how hot they got while watching this.
Now this is where it gets interesting. I have been starting to realize and notice the growing numbers of women who are tuning in to watch gay porn. They love men on men for the similar reasons men like watching women on women. Maybe because one man is good, two is better. The body is beautiful, be it man or woman. I know this isn’t always true for all women, but I am seeing this more and more, especially with the younger women in their early twenties and the more self-aware women in their thirties. I personally prefer women, and I admit I like to see a couple of women kissing. I can’t think of a hetero, or many gay men who doesn’t. It seems fair for women to want the same. So all of a sudden, I feel hot again, to the female audience. They come and want my picture and are trying to get my number. Can I be a rock star too? How do I get myself into these situations?
