International Women’s Day Celebration

A Feminist Call to Action: Defend the Women of Sudan. Activist and filmmaker Katherine Cheairs, a student of the Sudanese crisis, will speak about the questions CNN and Fox News haven’t even asked: why are women and children targeted for mass rapes, abduction and slavery? How are Sudanese feminists organizing to defend themselves, and how can U.S. feminists help? Open discussion will follow the talk.

An African buffet, with vegetarian option, served at 7:00 p.m. (.50 donation).

The program is at Solidarity Hall, 2170 W. Washington Blvd. (just off the 10 Freeway at Western on bus line #68). Door donation .00. Everyone is welcome.
