OC A-Cafe this Saturday!

by socialgathering Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at 11:24 PM

Anarchist Cafe: A Social Experiement in Urban Anarchy The next A-Cafe is Saturday February 26th, 2005 A-Cafe is not a place, it's an event, and it takes place every month in Southern California. If you want to get involved with A-Cafe, give a workshop or have questions, please send an email to: tvfragments@yahoo.com

2PM at Peppertree Park in Tustin (First St. & B St.)

Visit the website for instructions!

Come for a day at A-Cafe! An event for the young and restless! An event for fun and for free! The epitome of innocence!

FREE FOOD AND DRINKS!

Please bring your own mug and eating utensils. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to share. The more people who help the better the feast! (For lots of free vegan recipes check out VegWeb.com)

FUN AND GAMES!

Possible games will include but are not limited to:

- cardboard war

- capture the flag

- combat kissing

- dodge ball

- kick ball

- red rover

- riot line

- soccer

- water balloon fights

Games are subject to overall consensus and participation

THE ART WALL!

Come show off your skills and learn new ones! Bring your art supplies! There will be provided art space. (If you would like to donate more plywood or paint please e-mail greenchaos@riseup.net)

THE REALLY FREE MARKET!

Do you have any books that you've finished reading and would like to pass along? Do you make jewelry, print your own patches, make candles, print zines, record music or maybe you just have some extra clothes or CDs that you don't listen to anymore? Bring them out to the next Anarchist Cafe and make someone very happy!

LIVE MUSIC!

Bring your voices and your instruments for acoustic music and subversive sing-a-longs!

BE CREATIVE!

The Anarchist Cafe is such a beautiful event because it is based on participation. There is no one group of people organizing the whole a-cafe, but individual people who take initiative to bring something to contribute to the event. What skills do you have? What resources do you have access too? What knowledge can you share? The next Anarchist Cafe is going to be awesome because of you!

A-cafe is fine

come on a-ok anarcists need to find friends too, so many people say that anarchists must be perfec orginizing boogiemen but come on fuck you a-ok your a fucking troll. I just moved down here to this place and ive found it hard to meet other radicals Im going to the next A-cafe because I need to first meet people to work with before I can work in he anarchist ccomunity. god people like you piss me off. also this website pisses me off. it sould be more like the portland site. the la site is so damn boaring they add a new article about once a month also what the hell is up with the "selective articles" and the "other articles" bullshit, If this is m homepage I have to wait and hope to be chosen to be featured? a-ok you should be bitching more about this site layou than anything. La indymedia could be an easy to use tool for the radical comunity down here but insted its a barely breathing branch on a burnt tree. sorry to be so critical, Im not suggestng that the indy media folks stop doing what they are doing. I just feel like, I dunno there trying to make it difiult for new people to become involved. I dont want to take time writing an article on here if Im not shure it will even ever get seen. thats how it works isnt it? the indy media folks have to choose your article? hmm this perplexes me, as a matter of fact I think Ill post this comment as an article, ha I bet no one will reply. thats how archaic this site is.... exelent ok if Ill post this story on portlands site and on the la indy media site just to see which site gets more comments. any one who reads this. disagrees, or knows something I dont please post your comments so that I can be educated......... indymedia lets see which site is a more effective democratic comunication tool ho haa!
