On Monday morning, a McDonald's in Torrance was spray painted with bizarre slogans denouncing the international burger king. Responsibility has been claimed by the Animal Liberation Front (ALF).

On top of the standard meat-related sins which ALF claims drove them to take aerosol can in hand, was a charge of "anti-union efforts" by the popular fast food company. The connection between vegetarianism and union membership was not explained in the ALF media release.

Mike Mangione Jr., franchise-owner of the McDonald's location, has stated that, "McDonald's is committed to the humane treatment of animals, and we are recognized as an industry leader in animal welfare. It is unfortunate and counterproductive for someone not to educate themselves on the facts and instead resort to these criminal activities."

As police have not made any arrests in their investigation it is not known at this time if any union militants were involved in putting graffiti on Mr. Mangione's McDonald's.
