David Rovics, one of our strongest voices, is singing on March 4 in Claremont, CA, and on March 6 in the SF Valley at the Onion (unitarian church). No pics or videos

David Rovics will be making two tour stops in Southern California. The first will be Friday, March 4th, 7 pm, Claremont Forum, 111 So. College Avenue, Claremont, California. Contact Marjorie Mikels The second will be Sunday March 6 at 7pm at The Onion, the unitarian church at 9500 Haskell, North Hills (just north of plummer) For that one email me. At the Onion, the cost will be per ticket. I don't know the cost in Claremont. ( I am not rich enough to make it free! ;) )

David Rovics is one of the clearest, strongest, most important protest voices of our era. To hear a man of Jewish ancestry sing with passion about the plight of Palestinians, to hear a man sing about the 60,000+ highway fatalities in the USA, to hear a man who goes to darned near every protest sing about the G8, SOA, WSF, WTO, etc. is so wonderful and refreshing. If you don't know his music, every song he's recorded since 1996 is available for free download at www.soundclick.com/davidrovics. Give him a try. If you're a progressive, you will find some songs that fit you to a T, and maybe you'll find some you don't like. That is what protest is all about.

Amy Goodman says he is the musical version of Democracy Now, and Pete Seeger says you have to listen to David Rovics.

So listen to David, his new album Beyond the Mall is an outstanding offering with Tsunami and 60,000 more being my favorite cuts. Then come to whichever concert is closer to you.

Thanks so much,

Joel Cloud
