Strategy for Coping With The Bush Problem

i kid because i love

--Triumph The Insult Comic Dog

so i wake up at three o clock in the morning and i get this missive.

of course i know that time is an illusion, and somewhere else it's the middle of the day and somewhere else people are making love...

i freely take time to deeply contemplate the traps that others are in, the mental traps of "thinking" that keeps others with great problem solving potential later wondering 'what happened? i thought things were going to change??' and remebering the sufi admonition to learn how to think, i contemplate the mistakes of the anti-bush/american regime change movement with an eye towards avoiding the flaws of the last wave of direct action, protest and activism.

while that is happening some other activist -- full time activist are saying "bullshit! nothing ever changes!' yet they are also fully devoted to activism. all the time. what can one do? not everything always makes sense.

even to me

at this point i look at what was sent to me and it's another revealing expose into the minds of the Illuminists. They have begun to get slightly tedious, but i realise it's been a secret and the assholiest people in the world have been hiding behind it to fuck over people's minds for a long time.

i read it carefully and it's even compasionate towards teh rotters, talking about the basic truth -- that W. hurts people cause he himself is hurt, a victim of abuse.

laughable as it is -- as Bushhate has become so trendy -- so painfully trendy...it's true.

(and a moron beat us all, leading to more irritating smugness and compulsive smirking...sonner or later the cycle of hate has to end. we hate Bush, bush is hated, Bush smirks and oders more DEATH. it is called continuity of violence, a spiral that needs to be reevaluated with an eye toward real problem solving and the end of excuses and finger-pointing.)

I get to the end of the letter i have recieved in teh mail and i find the flaw. And i have to respond to all who i know got the mail cause after all -- will they see it or think "this is GREAT!! we've got to internalize it, make it part of our plan to resist and refuse what they offer!"

Unless i do a little damage control -- and point out the big mistake that all the people -- ALL the people who seriously want Bush OUT have been making.

It's a mental strategy error: people need to course correct and reload. It could make the United States a lot better place and maybe less a source of international shame for us U. S. citizens.

here's the big mistake...hope you see it...it's at the end of the essay which comes after this column.

"As we look at four more years of the Bush Administration, we must retain objective ways of viewing and judging it. It is important that we do not get sucked into defining things the way the closed Bush system defines them."

Well, there it is...

maybe the person writing had found themselves in the belly of the beast.

this is an evolutionary moment -- we are challenged to change and grow up.

delusions of having "objective ways of viewing and judging" are just that -- delusions. -- therein is the mental rigidity which is so annoying and yet -- would leave them trapped and mentally immobbile if some quick brown foxes started actually examining and working -- with understanding and without "judgement" the lazy dogs that represent these Platonic philosopher kings who curently have us wedged into a tight spot.

as we look at whatever the future holds we must release and cease altogether the error-prone use of what is called "judgment."

i drag into the room as my inspiration a little known celebrity from the holy land, a man named yeshua who said "judge not."

the faculty of judging, the mental mind game of attempting to trap people and situations by judging is always gonna be a loser.

it's mentally freezing - philosophically ossifying in no good ways -- rigidifying, stultifying, judging mind practically insures that people will see not the whole picture, not what actually is, but what they choose to see, what they JUDGE.

already i see the big mistake! how do people KNOW that we are inexplicably fated to four more years of Bush? if people had dynamic mental approaches that lent to real understanding, the Bush Administration could be routed in a year. But judging mind is sort offatalistic and closed, that's where we get the famous word "prejudice". Prior judgments --

if you really care about this issue -- as i guess you did, since you sent it my way -- that i can only imagine that you want to deal effectively with it. In the statement "As we look at four more years of the Bush Administration," i see pessimism and people who are facing what they dislike feeling already defeated.

i'm asking for realistic approaches, neither pessimistic or optimistic, but pragmatic, sense making. What reason do you have for thinking we are necessarily stuck with these guys?

Remember -- the hallmark of the Bush Administration has been NOT BEING THAT BRIGHT. Stuttering, obviously lying, not remebering facts -- signs of alcohol poisoning and a brain weighted down with emotional pain -- and that's what the point of the article was -- that he Bush family is a tortured little bunch of folks with emotional issues. Always hiding the issues and putting on a 'everything's okay, we're ready to rule the earth," yet the emotioal problems, the patterns of denial, the closet skeletons, manifest in Golden Boy George's stuttering, mumbling, chronic errors and manifestations of emotional imbalance.

he's a man crying for help -- and so people die because he's not happy. So kids die in the desert.

As more and more of the embarassing closet skeletons in the Bush family come to the surface, i am pleased, becaue if people of intellect and compassion cover all bases -- and without sinking into the Illuminist mindset of judging -- they could be out by this time next year -- or well on their way, assisted by trial there IS a world court and it's always time to apply it to this problem we have with bad government in America.

if we simply apply the old "judge not" principle.

i'm fully prepared for these words to go wasted -- right now. i will hone the message and communicate with others later. But the error -- the flaw in reasoning that waited until the last papargraph of the article to show itself, was the idea that judging mind could save the day and solve problems..

Let go of judgment, of prejudicial assumptions and really understand.

This IS the new age, which is why such a cynical mindset has taken center stage in world issues. new Age apporaches WILL bring about desired results - all the old ways of doing things will just result in faulures, disappointments and "oh, well there was nothing we could have done" responses.

There's no guilt in realising what wasn't working in the old strategies and changing them. and what was hamstringing the old attitudes was JUDGMENT -- and some are proud of their faculty of judgment.

see the twin spectres of pride and judgment?

when we deal with these people what we are dealing with is the International Luciferian society -- and if you'e prepared to admit that there are things wrong you might as well go all the way.

the Illuminists, infamous -- the International Luciferian Society!

Hence the desert bloodbath, hence the cold greed, hence the pattern of denial and ocovert deception. hence the basic sort of tendency towards unloving decisions -- not enough money for social program a:

more than enough for military expenditure z.

people who want them out and to STAY OUT -- a lot of people -- need to apply the approach that they won't -- being Luciferians. why should i mince words? people in denial about just what the illuminati are are in the slow lane, either catching up or not. the Illuminati are Luciferians, they worship The Devil. naturally there are things in earth and heaven that more than balance that negative manifestation(duh? what's the opposite of anti-christ get a calaculator.)

(and the majority of the Illuminists are Luciferian. They can't stop lying -- maybe however application of compassionate truth that loves humanity more than the greed machines of the current administration want to get off on power can be sufficient.

No one will do it but us human beings. No other country is gonna come "liberate" the United States from bad government and we'd dislike it a lot of they did.

Saucers aren't gonna come down from the skies to lead us into a new age -- we do it ourselves or the shit goes on being shitty.

and it is some shitty shit.

the flaw is application of judging mind.

Judging mind does not understand! it judges. it applies its prior judgments -- its burnt - in ideas of what is going on from the past -- to the present -- and thus misses the mark.

I am allied with most people who want the Bush family -- and their Illuminists co-conspirators -- the fuck out of power. Regime change in the United States has to be compassionate, has to be wholistic. there are enough LIARS in this country who pretend that hey are against the Bush group but actually like the just fine. Good money, strong dictators -- business as usual .

they're no friends of America or Democracy -- their minds are stuck in the past and they, Like Cheney and others, lie to get what they want.

Real understanding will make the difference.

and now here is the thing i got in the mail. try reading it with the idea in mind -- of releasing the old judgments that have shackled and hampered our cause before -- with a goal comprehensive understanding rather than rote prejudice.

Because one of the biggest barriers to getting Bush out of office in the electoral process was PEOPLE WHO HATED BUSH.

Blind with hatred, they put a negative-energy imbalance on teh whole movement to get the Bushes (i say Bushes because George Herbert is involved too, he jumps out of planes and this whole article you're about to read talks about dictatorial family structures -- if GHW Bush is anything -- he is not an advisor but a Shadow King, ruling from just out-of-picture.)

The Veil of Secrecy

The Bush Administration: a Closed Family System

By JENNIFER VAN BERGEN

Never has there been an administration like the one in power today--so disciplined in secrecy, so precisely in lockstep in keeping information from the people at large and, in defiance of the Constitution, from their representatives in Congress.

Bill Moyers, September 14, 2004

Everything secret degenerates, even the administration of justice; nothing is safe that does not show it can bear discussion and publicity.

Lord Acton (1834-1902)

Democracy dies behind closed doors . . . The First Amendment, through a free press, protects the people's right to know that their government acts fairly, lawfully and accurately . . . When government begins closing doors, it selectively controls information rightfully belonging to the people. Selective information is misinformation.

Judge Keith, North Jersey Media Group v. Ashcroft, 308 F.3d 198 (3d Cir. 2002).

Secrecy is the watchword of the Bush Administration. The Administration has engaged in secret deportations of suspected alien terrorists, closed immigration hearings to the public, sealed federal court records and even kept them from being named on the docket, sequestered names of and information about Guantanamo detainees as well as thousands of immigrants purportedly detained under the PATRIOT Act, secretly gathered names under a new data-mining system called MATRIX, refused to turn over minutes of an Energy Task Force meeting held by Vice President Cheney in early 2001, refused to cooperate or turn over White House records relating to 9/11, and enabled the FBI to obtain information from "third party" business records holders about ordinary citizens, making it a crime for the holders to tell anyone those records were requested.

These are just a few of the new secrecy initiatives of this Administration. In December 2003, the U.S. News & World Report came out with an investigative report, Keeping Secrets, that found the following:

Important business and consumer information (such as auto and tire safety information) is increasingly being withheld from the public.

Critical healthy and safety information potentially affecting millions of Americans, such as data on quality and vulnerability of drinking-water supplies, potential chemical hazards in communities, and safety of airlines travel.

Invoked "state secrets" privilege on national security grounds (in one case alone, the government invoked it 245 times) and actually shut down several civil rights and discrimination suits by refusing to provide information crucial to plaintiff's cases.

Doubled the amount of documents classified (44.5 million times in the first two years) and made it easier to reclassify previously declassified information.

Made exempt from public disclosure any voluntarily supplied "critical infrastructure information" supplied by private industry--such as transportation, communications, energy, and other systems that enable modern society to run.

Repudiated congressional statutory directives to provide notice to Congress before initiating certain sensitive defense programs.

Secretly awarded building contracts in Iraq to invited companies.

Limited Freedom of Information Act requests.

One that U.S. News did not mention: the Administration has repudiated domestic and international laws that require open proceedings and due process and ignored a Supreme Court mandate to provide such to Guantanamo and other detainees.

In a recent case, prosecutors demanded that documents in a case be sealed and kept secret, but that the entire case be wiped off the docket. It was as though the case never happened. Yet, a man was convicted and sent to jail in that case, and another man claims that the sealed information shows that prosecutors hid evidence of a government-led extortion scheme against him. The new practice of keeping an entire case secret is called "super-sealing," according the Miami Daily Business Review. It involves "the total eclipse of entire cases or individual pleadings by keeping everything about them--even case and docket numbers--secret."

The Administration, of course, claims that all this secrecy is necessary to protect us from terrorism. But, according to the U.S. News, "the initiative to wall off records and information previously in the public domain began from Day 1" of this Administration taking office. And in a December 2003 Democracy Now report, Veil of Secrecy, Bill Moyers said:

Everywhere you look today, or try to look, our right to know is under assault.

In the name of fighting terrorists, the government is pulling a veil of secrecy around itself. Information that used to be readily accessible is now kept out of sight. [A]lthough the government regularly cites 911 as the basis for secrecy, the true reasons, in many cases, have nothing to do with the War On Terror.

There is no doubt that the Bush Administration is a closed system. It resembles a closed family system and as such, reveals much about the short- and long-term consequences of its practices. Psychologists and sociologists have extensively studied family systems and found that abusive families are often rigid closed systems. In a family system that is closed, the adults believe that power and control are of primary importance. The outer boundaries may be sealed off, preventing an inflow of outside information that contradicts family rules and beliefs and allowing those with the most power to maintain that power within the family. Communication with the outside world, and even within the family itself, becomes closed or censored as those in control set rules about talking that will maintain the hierarchy. Relationships may be regulated in such families by force and fear or by punishment and shame--and the development of each person's individuality and self-worth suffers in the process. Families that place priority on control in relationships focus on everyone being the same and on maintaining the status quo; they try to mold the members to fit the (only) acceptable rules and beliefs--which are determined by the family members who are in power. Closed families show rigid rules:

(1) Control is important--people are basically bad and must be continually controlled to be good.

(2) There is only one right way and the person with the most power has it. There is always someone who knows what is best for you.

(3) Change is frightening; safety depends on maintaining the system as it is.

Some (but not all) closed families become abusive families. The experience of a child born into a closed abusive family system is one of powerlessness and objectification. The child is a captive of the system. S/he is isolated in a rigidly structured, closed system, helpless to change the system or remove him/herself from it. S/he must accommodate the abusive system and assimilate it into his or her life. The mainstays of such abusive closed family systems are: secrecy, helplessness, entrapment, delayed disclosure, and retraction.

Secrecy: The worse the secret, the more reason to keep it. The family's consistent and continued denial silences anyone who would speak out. Those who do speak out are punished severely or banished.

Helplessness: In an "authoritarian" (rigidly closed) family system, children may be required to be obedient and loving toward the adults, while the adults may ignore the needs of the children. The rules and beliefs never change, no matter what the individual does, no matter what new information is acquired, no matter what the consequences.

Entrapment: There is no way out of a closed family system. Leaving is not a choice. (Note that expulsion is not the same as voluntary leaving. Expulsion is carried out as revenge and at a time when the individual least expects it or is least prepared for it.)

Delayed disclosure and retraction: Those in closed systems may one day reveal what went on inside the system, but the delayed disclosure may be used to discredit the individual. The price may become too high and the individual may have to retract his or her disclosure.

Does any of this sound familiar to the reader? What are the consequences of such closed systems? The consequences are severe and often irreversible. When one projects this paradigm onto those who hold the reigns to executive governmental power, the picture is highly troubling. Trust is undermined; misdeeds are engaged in and the more they are engaged in, the more they are hidden from public view; the more misdeeds are engaged in, the more a common enemy must be found and punished; the more the system is challenged, the tighter those in power maintain control and the more control is extended; the worse we look to others, the more misdeeds we commit either to punish others for their views or to avenge our image by committing deeds that will break opposition or illustrate our power to all. Finally, anyone who challenges or questions us must be crushed.

The bond within a closed system is extremely strong. No one may leave or challenge it, no one gets inside who isn't already in. Information that may help the system to adjust to changes cannot be allowed in. Finally, the system must destroy everything not within it or it must collapse.

As we look at four more years of the Bush Administration, we must retain objective ways of viewing and judging it. It is important that we do not get sucked into defining things the way the closed Bush system defines them. The family system paradigm is helpful in understanding the nature of the Bush system and the logical consequences of it. To the extent that the closed family system resembles the Bush Administration--and it clearly does on nearly every point--the consequences are dire. Knowledge is power. Pass it on.
