LA Superior Court has enjoined "Reverend Billy" from "disturbing, annoyed, or sexually harassing the cash registers of Starbucks in California."

LA Superior Court Issues Starbucks Ban to Reverend Billy

Reverend Billy is in LA in the coming weeks

in court from charges concerning his Starbucks actions with the

Stop Big Boxes Gospel Choir on April 19, '04. The "Cash

Register Exorcism" -- a laying on of hands by the anti-consumerist

singers and preacher -- resulted in a criminal misdemeanor

"stalking" charge from the LA prosecutor, and Talen will enter his

plea on October 21 St. The trial will probably take place

in early November. The Reverend is in LA now.

Starbucks officials confronted the Reverend at a recent court appearance at the San Fernando Courthouse (near the Starbucks

where the alleged criminal prayer occurred) and presented him

with an executive order banning him from all the Starbucks "in the known universe." The Superior Court Judge also issued a ruling prohibiting him from "coming within 250 yards of "the victim" Starbucks property anywhere in the State of California."

The Church of Stop Shopping invites LA area activists and performers to invade your local Starbucks wearing a collar (cardboard and tape will do) and do a bit of preaching yourself. Join hundreds of Reverend Billy's entering Starbuck's surveillance cameras-- each of the Reverends should point out that less than 1% of Starbucks coffee is Fair Trade and 7 and 8 year olds are working in the coffee fields supplying billionaire Howard Schultz with the drug in his latte.

Please contact us, help us preach, support the coffee growers and their families.
