On Sunday, August 29, 2004, a peaceful gathering of about 200 people came out to the Palisades Park in Santa Monica to protest the Bush administration’s policies and agenda, and to stand in solidarity with the marchers in NYC. The event was initiated by the Coalition for World Peace, but other groups were represented including Code Pink and Answer L.A. Many drivers honked in support of the protestors and pedestrians stopped to browse and collect information from the participating organizations.
