Banal is... well, "banal". When will people get tired of his endless self promotion and blatent careerism? He is a substandard artist at best, and only liked by certain people because he's seen as "political". We've all seen better artists and better political art.... so why all the fuss about this guy?

It's amazing that this cartoonist, who spent a year publishing his works amongst the sex ads printed in the sleazy back pages of the "liberal" LA Weekly is thought of as the pinacle of a progressive artist.

The worst aspect of this swindler's career is that he's seemed to convince the people of LA that he's the only socially conscious artist in the city... and that all attention should be focused on him. Enough of the hero worship... let's move on and begin to think of artistic schools/movements... and not making stars out of hucksters and showmen.
