sherman hardly has cult like followers, just people who respect him for what he has gone thru (including a republican carnegie-mellon university professor). his case is remarkable for many reasons surrounding technology and freespeech, espically for those of us who do web hosting and fear finding ourselvs in that situation. that link i provided has the same info that put sherman austin in jail. just for hosting the "reclaim guide," sherman went to court facing 20 years in prison. he chose not to take on million dollar government lawers, instead he plea bargained for one year prison plus probation.
