Breakfast, Authors & Radio Talk: "Los Angeles: The Backdrop for Black Female Authors

(Los Angeles, CA). The Friends of the Memorial Library present a Breakfast, Authors and Radio talk series with local authors. To kick-off the series 102.3 KJLH’s Jacquie Stephens, “L.A. Speaks Out”, will moderate a live-broadcast of African-American Angelena authors, Saturday, August 28, 2004.

(Los Angeles, CA). The Friends of the Memorial Library present a Breakfast, Authors and Radio talk series with local authors. To kick-off the series 102.3 KJLH’s Jacquie Stephens, “L.A. Speaks Out”, will moderate a live-broadcast of African-American Angelena authors, Saturday, August 28, 2004.



An exciting group of award-winning Angelenas will take the reader through the neighborhoods of the City of Angels using erotica, romance, faith, mystery and humor as the vehicles.



Authors Victoria Christopher (Truth Be Told), Marissa Monteilh (Hot Boyz), Parry A. Brown (Fannin’ the Flames), Lisa Teasley (Dive) and Veronica Chambers (When Did you Stop Loving Me?) will take us on a trip through Los Angeles.



The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for admission. Seating is limited. Free tickets may be obtained at the Memorial Branch Library, 4625 W. Olympic blvd., during the regular library hours. Authors will hold a public book signing in the branch following radio broadcast. This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Memorial Library, 102.3 KJLH-FM, Councilmember Tom La Bonge and IHOP --breakfast will be served.
