Women In Chains

Author Jacqueline Amos

I reclaim my identity for the world to see.

I women shall no longer be the punching bag,

For the world to see, I the sacred grounds of my

Fathers house.

I became confuse in the hypocrisies,

of women and man.

When I had to be the warrior of my family tree,

I became the aggressor of my kingdom,

As t he world looks own with a frown,

I became the women and man, of my family tree.

I sit in judgment before the world,

the propaganda of

What a women should be,

tarnish by those who live,

Between there forest,

and tarnished the name of women,

I come in all colors and shades.

Beyond the laughter and tears,

I the provider of my kingdom,

The nurture of my seeds,

The incubation of an injustice

that man set forth for me.

My daughters and sons follow after my pain.

When I became the provider of my family tree,

I became aggressive, I didn’t know how to be.

When my man steps to me, I become dominant in what I

Want, and my femininity becomes the warrior, and

The women takes on a new form.

As the lion sits before his family tree,

death to those

Who violates the order of protector,

I the lioness

Death to those who step upon the line,

of human nature.

Breaking the chains of who is ,

and what is suppose to be.

When you step away and abandon me,

I became your curse, as well as your seed.

I the laughter, I the tears,

I the provider, I the pain,

I women raped , I reclaim my identity,

I break the chains.

Tears upon my pillow, starved for family,

cursed by man.

I have returned to the solitude,

of the wilderness, the place

Of the beginning I cry no victim song.

No longer shall I be the servant,

The master has lost his key.

Integrity roots of essentiality,

Silencing concepts of tomorrow ,

Through the vessels of all words,

Seductions of life and dreams,

within the fears and doubts,

depths of human conditions,

Women warriors of the night,

women in chains, shall be broke.
