So when "peace officers" begin to wear camouflage and carry automatic weapons. I have noticed that a lot of cops are vets. I've heard a cop say that a lot of cops basically treat military personnel as equals.

It seems like some of them also end up doing security (pinkerton/wackenhut) work. That's just a high end rent-a-cop/muscle for hire. Private mercenary thugs for hire who aren't quite good enough to make it into the real mercenary sector (which is a lot harder than basic training) and end up beating up on union people or temping when the cops go on strike.

Whatever pays the bills, I guess.

As for the higher-ups getting off without punishment... I'm sure a few of them will be sacrificed, but, not more than a few. That's usually how it works with scandals and fall-guys.

The Arab is not cowering or on his knees but instead appears thankful.

The soldier's body language doesn't indicate hostility or cruelty.
