What the fuck is the problem? while johnk ( or co-worker) is busy deleting minor comments, they allow comments with racial and sexist slurs to stand forever. And what is their answer?

Take out the latest comments page only to substitute a less informative latest comments page while they consider having a password protocol .

What do you people need? It seems to myself that the readers and posters are more involved than the admittedly unpaid staff.

I sure wish I lived closer to the collective site because I'd be there in a heartbeat to annoy the people over there into a proactive MO.

Until then, we can only hope for some fresh blood and inspiration.

You comment is very harsh.

The racist comments really annoy me too, but a I think that the FEW volunteers at IMC do an amazing job. IMC doesn't have the resources and the staff needed to keep up with the traffic and the maintenance of the site to make it perfect.

I really appreciate all the efforts that IMC has made. IMC has improved the site so much in the last twelve months.

If I had a car, I surely would volunteer too to help stop those racist pigs.

It was a bit sharp of me. I get cranky when I see the kind of sh*t posted with the pejorative 'niger' used with seeming impunity by assholes I'd love to meet in person. I can only claim 'stress' ( you know, the feeling you get when you can't choke the living sh*t out of someone who needs it) as a reason for my outburst.

What do you think of the 'notice to editor' idea to allow more interaction with the readership?
