FREEWAYS FOR PEACE! CREATIVE PROTEST!
This is a call for local NOT IN OUR NAME (NION) L.A. activists and all interested artists, activists, parties and organizations to participate in an upcoming action THIS Friday April 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 on the Sunset Blvd Overpass to the Hollywood Fwy in Hollywood.

We are asking activists to come with large, visible, legible, hand-held anti-war banners and posters.
NO BANNERS CAN BE HUNG FROM THE OVERPASS!!!
We want to increase the visibility of the anti-occupationists and our message of ending the occuaption NOW! NION is hopeful that the Freeways for Peace concept will catch on so that we can have massive co-ordinated national actions in the very near future.
This can and will be guerilla advertising/activist work at its best! Bring cameras and noise makers.
Depending on the size of the response we get, we could expand our action to other freeway overpasses. Please we need your help! Please visit the following website for ideas about signs and banners:

... also, HomeDepot sells 4x8 sheets of 'rigid foam insulation' panels that are paintable and extremely light weight. cost $5.00 - $7.00 not including paint.
For more info, call: NION LA 323-462-6263 and leave a message or in Orange County 714-964-2162.

download PDF (64.8 kibibytes)
See the attached document.
Print it out . Read it to the cops if they show up and tell you to take your banner down. Tell them to call their supervisor. It is a 1st amendment right to diplay banners on freeways. The court has ruled on this.
You have the right to hang banners.
