Alhambra Vigil attacked

by wavemaster Monday, Apr. 12, 2004 at 7:23 PM
newdaywindow@netscape.net

La Times covered the Alhambra Vigil in the California section of the sunday paper. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-protest11apr11,1,7920734.story?coll=la-headlines-california

if you think that the media isn't paying attention to us then click on the link and read this story. Where is the peace community? Imagine if we could get 50 people there every friday.

The intersection of Garfield and main is a great place to vigil. It has a food court and movie theater and a unqique tile square and fountain. After the vigil there is also live entertainment from local artists. Check the sunday calander of the times for photos

Yup

It's a great corner, with some cool people. New people are always welcome, and we do kick it after the vigil.

There usually isn't any incident of violence or even ketchup spraying. There is usually only a little heckling. Perhaps the recent events in Iraq emboldened the generally cowardly pro-war hecklers.
