This is a FREE EVENT open to students, faculty, and all community members. FREE PARKING WILL BE PROVIDED ALL DAY!

This teach-in takes a closer look at the symptoms of racism to an understanding of what it is, where it comes from, how it functions, why it persists and how it can be undone. Chris Crass a published writer and speaker, will take a look at white Supremacy, White Privilege and Roles of White People in the Fight against Racism. Together we hope to a look at our society and learn how we can be more effective on the journey towards eliminating racism. Our speaker Chris Crass is a social justice organizer with the Challenging White Supremacy Workshops in San Francisco. He has led anti-racism workshops for white people with community and student groups around the country. He graduate from San Francisco State Univerity with a degree in Race, Class, Gender and Power Studies. His writings about the global justice movement, anti-racist and feminist organizing have been widely published in over 100 publications and translated into 6 languages.
