The interesting thing about the statistics on this official site is the charts of other std (not that 'AIDS' is either an std or even a syndrome).

They show that the VAST majority of cases are in their teens while a mere HALF PER CENT of 'AIDS' cases are teenagers and only 2.9% in their early twenties.

Clearly this does NOT fit the pattern of a sexually transmitted disease.

That figure of 1.28 cases per State is lower than gun shotdeaths in the Mac Arthur Park area of Los Angeles in a single month.

In the same period people over 60 (caucasian) had 9,338 cases.

Those old folks must be sex mad - Nine times MORE sex than teenagers.

Most teenagers are having sex with each other -- they are a network of partners who are relatively clean. If they start having sex with older people, they will be at greater risk of getting AIDS.

If they continue this behavoir into their 20s, their risk factor goes up exponentially, as they encounter more partners who are likely to be exposed to a wider range of people, including drug abusers.

Do the math. It's obvious why they don't get AIDS.

The real shame is that more money isn't directed to the communities that are facing the worst AIDS problems: adult people of color and immigrants. The safer-sex message isn't sinking in so well into these communities.

Your post was an example of apologising for the 'AIDS' myth without even reviewing the facts or reading the post in question.

ALL OTHER STD'S AFFLICT THE YOUNG MOST, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

The 10-year Padian study observed sexually active

couples in which one partner was HIV positive. The result: in 10 years, not

one uninfected partner contracted HIV, even though all participants admitted

to having sex without condoms. The study states, 'We followed up 175

HIV-discordant couples over time, for a total of approximately 282

couple-years of follow up. The longest duration of follow-up was 12 visits

(6 years). We observed no seroconversion [infection] after entry into the

study." In the three-year Stewart study (1985) not one male partner of

HIV-positive women contracted HIV. Prostitution is not even listed as an HIV

risk category by the CDC, because of the extremely low incidence of HIV

transmission to clients who have no other risk factors (i.e. drug abuse).

These findings bolster the hypothesis of some AIDS scientists that chronic

malnutrition and other environmental factors, and not a sexually-transmitted

virus, are the causes of weakened immunity in people diagnosed with one of

the nearly 30 AIDS-defining diseases (which vary from country to country).

You can't really compare HIV infection to infection by chlamydia or gonnorhea. The latter are bacterial and passed through body fluids: mucus and saliva. You can pass it through oral sex, which is more popular with youth than ever, it seems. Some other big stis like herpes and genital warts are passed on from intimate skin contact. HIV transmission requires the exchange of blood.

Thus, HIV transmission requires particular behaviors that exacerbate contact with blood. Sharing needles, anal sex without a condom, eating semen after oral sex, and any other fluid exchange over cuts, sores, and abrasions. In other words, it's harder to get AIDS.

AIDS is not a myth.

It's really inaccurate to label a bunch of diseases STIs and expect them to work the same way. HIV is blood-borne, genital warts and herpes are viruses on the skin, other ones are bacterial infections that are transmitted through fluids.

AIDS Apologists VS AIDS Dissidents - Truths About AIDS Denialists

AIDS apologists  are those who know HIV leads to AIDS (proven by science, so much scientific proof) and we are defending the scientifically known fact that viral pathogenesis and progression of 'HIV to AIDS'  causes  the eventual need for combination therapies to prolong life. Mixed "AIDS Apologist" links here or find comments here from both sides (dissidents and the scientific community), but still about AIDS Apologist activities...

AIDS dissidents (better known as AIDS Denialists who are AIDS dissidence, dissidence is anti-establishment like, against science and progression, argumentative) deny HIV causes AIDS and claim the medications kill the patients (AZT "over use" alone started this myth in the late 80s, but medicine combo/therapies are working today in the year 2000+). Basically a group of non doctors and non scientists who challenge the conventional HIV/AIDS model or hypothesis and do not accept the proven evidence. These dissident groups seem almost fanatical by them posting the same message multiple times to a targeted list of internet websites (non dissident sites of course, clogging up the normal flow of reading material with intentions of shutting the sites down) and insulting/bashing anyone who may not agree.
