Nolan calls on Wisconsin voters to send Bush, Kerry and Edwards a message

President Bush promises to cut the deficit in half over his next term. Sen. Kerry promises the same. Sen. Edwards has said that “no one can balance the budget in four years.”

He’s right -- neither Bush nor any of the Democrats trying to replace him will balance the budget in four years. In fact, I’ll be surprised if any of them can even manage to cut the deficit in half.

But the budget can be balanced – and in a lot less than four years. If the American people will give me the opportunity to serve as President, I promise that the very first budget I send to Congress will be balanced – without raising taxes – and I’ll veto any budget that would add a penny to our already massive national debt.

If that’s what you want, then let the politicians know with the only message they understand – your vote. Tell them that passing the buck to future generations isn’t acceptable any longer. Let them know that the buck stops here. Vote Libertarian.
