200,000 in Spain protest Iraq War!

by no mas guerra Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at 3:24 AM

Hundreds of thousands of antiwar protesters marched in Madrid Spain to call for an end to the U.S. occupation of Iraq. Calls were also made for the total withdrawal of some 1,300 Spanish troops from Iraq. The anti-Imperialist protestors held banners and placards that denounced the idiot Cowboy in the Whitehouse, as well as his puppet... Prime Minister of Spain, Jose Maria Aznar. Protestors also carried thousands of pictures of Spanish television cameraman Jose Couso, who was murdered along with Reuters TV cameraman Taras Protsyuk when U.S. occupation soldiers fired a tank shell at the media hotel where the two were working in Baghdad. The massive anti-war protest was held to mark the first anniversary of demonstrations held around the world when nearly 15 Million people marched to oppose the U.S. oil war against Iraq (Reuters photo/Andrea Comas).

MADRID, Feb. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Some 200,000 demonstrators took to the street across Spain on Sunday, protesting the occupation of Iraq by US-led forces and demanding an immediate military withdrawal and the return of sovereignty to the Iraqi people.

The demonstration, organized by trade unions and several socialorganizations, came eleven months after the US-led coalition forces invaded Iraq and ousted former president Saddam Hussein. It also marked the anniversary of last year's massive anti-war demonstration in Madrid and Barcelona. Some 150,000 people, according to the organizers, participated in the demonstration in Madrid, capital city of the country, local media Europa Press said.

Carrying such banners as "USA Out" and "No War, No Occupation, "the demonstrators urged foreign troops, including the Spanish ones, to withdraw from Iraq. Demonstrators also gathered in other major cities like Barcelona, Valencia and Seville as well as smaller towns.

The Spanish government led by Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar has strongly backed the US-led military operations in Iraq. Some 1,300 Spanish soldiers are currently deployed in Iraq.

The Movement Continues...Thats What!!!

by fresca = fetid Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004 at 7:13 PM

The anti-war movement continues around the world, celebrating the anniversary of February 15th 2002, when the largest

demonstration against a war in the history of mankind took

place.

And now the movement is more than vindicated with the notion

"WE TOLD YOU SO!!!"

But fresh, I mean fetid, you seem to have your head too

far up your ass to notice. God save your lost head, I mean,

soul.

"And now the movement is more than vindicated with the notion

"WE TOLD YOU SO!!!" "

Told us what?

Told us 600,000 Iraquis would die during shock and awe bombing?

Told us that Al Queda wasn't operating in Iraq?

Told us that the Iraqi people weren't being systematically repressed and decimated by Sadam?

Told us that he had no WMD?

The ONLY thing you were lucky enough to get right was the AMOUNT of WMD found.

No huge stockpiles were found. You got that one right. However tons of filthy WMD were uncovered. They are called Islamists. We are working hard to hunt them down and kill them as we speak.

Face it. You're as wrong now as you were then. This war was absolutely neccessary and thank God Bush had the nerve to go through with it. (about the only thing he's done that I still agree with by the way).
