Cheney is one of the best and the brightest. He is very capable. He has our best interests in mind.

I'm sorry but 'upgrade' doesn't really capture the true difference between Cheney and Gore. Cheney is oh so much more than just an 'upgrade.' The improvement is so vast that they don't even have a word to describe it.
That's very true Observer. I don't think the improvement is even quantifiable.
The biggest unit of measurement I'm aware of is 'lightyear' and that's not big enough to describe the elevation in quality of the incumbent we saw when Cheney replaced Gore.

Haliburton got hooked up with a prime job thanks to the VP. He's not stupid. He knows that political offices exist mainly to support the rich, to employ the rich, and help the rich get richer. We live in a pseudo-democracy where government officials trade in secrets, manipulation, money laudering, and exports at the expense of the average taxpayer.
