As the economy gets worse, attacks on public services deepen and scapegoating of immigrants escalates.

WHAT: No Scapegoats! The Fight for Immigrant Rights

WHEN: Thursday, December 18, 7pm

WHERE: Senor Fish Restaurant, First and Alameda
Streets, downtown LA

WHY: Every year, thousands of people from Mexico and
Latin America risk their lives crossing the border
into the US. Once here, they work at some of the
worst, most dangerous and lowest paid jobs in the
country -- without rights that most people enjoy.

With high unemployment and low job security,
politicians like Arnold Schwarzenegger have launched
an open attack on undocumented workers -- such as the
recent repeal of the simple right to drivers licenses.

What is the purpose of the attacks on undocumented
workers? Whose interests do they serve? Join the ISO
for a discussion of the politics of immigration and
why an attack on one group of workers is an attack on
us all!
