I sometimes get exhausted by this whole ordeal, because nothing is happening and I face Christmas alone without my daughter, the child made an orpan by the 'Bombs of Bush'. The letters I sent to Bush, Blair, Gephardt, Dean, H.Clinton and "leading Democrats" (way back in September) have all been ignored.
I told them what happened to me in Iraq and asked them for help in finding my daughter. Nothing. The US media is also silent.
I don't feel up to writing much; the thought of Christmas alone is too much to bear. She should have been in my arms now but she isn't and I plan to sit out Christmas alone, without any form or celebration whatsoever. What's to celebrate anyhow? My toe broken by an American soldier as I lay on the ground at Baghdad Airport, the cut on my hand as plastic hand-cuffs were abortedly cut off me, my partial deafness caused my the Chinook flight without ear plugs or the fact that I am still apart from my child? I have nothing to celebrate except a heart and soul that beats pure love and determination. That can get me through.
Perhaps I'll eat nothing this Christmas; I certainly have no hunger for the excesses of this time of year and may react harshly if someone wishes me a 'Happy Christmas'!
I simply cannot understand why George Bush will not help me. Is it that he really can't read or that this story is just too embarassing to face? Any ideas?
