WORK STOPPAGE/ECONOMIC SHUT DOWN IN SUPPORT OF SB60



FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12-



There will be a statewide work stoppage/buy nothing day in protest of the imminent repeal of SB60, which would have allowed "undocumented" people the right to drive in California without the threat of deportation.



Don't go to work, school, or buy anything that day, as part of a statewide effort to shut down the CA economy that day.



WE ARE THE WORK FORCE! WE CAN SHUT IT DOWN!

Talk about stupid people cutting their own throats. What is the use of an illegal worker who, for his own idiotic political agenda, doesn't show up for work? I can imagine the sympathy felt for him bu his evil white boss, right before he heads over to Home Depot to pick up his replacement. Hopefully the failure of this tactic will show the Patchouli Front and Nativo Lopez for what they are, Communists with Sombreros.

Oh dear, is my gardner going to be a no-show AGAIN? Just have to hire one of the 50 others who leave flyers on my porch. My handyman doesn't show? I can always go down to Home Depot and find as many as I need. My housekeeper? My car repair guy? Are you serious? There are enough unemployed people to do any ot these jobs, so what is the problem? If any of my workers don't show up on Dec 12 they are going to have to prove to me they had a REALLY good reason or it's out on your ass, amigo.

I find your comment to be not only offensive but ignorant as well. You say that it will be your worker's "ass" if they don't give you a good excuse for not showing up to work on December 12th. This apparently means that as an American citizen you are not familiar with the First Ammendment, where it states that each individual is entitled to their own beliefs. As a hispanic AMERICAN CITIZEN myself, I find your ignorance quite sad. Not only do you not understand the main purpose behind this protest, but it is people like that make prejudice continue in this world. I suggest you evaluate yourself, and learn to have an open mind towards other cultures. After all the plight of society is the ignorance of its inhabitants, and you are not an exception.

It looks like you are going to run out of illegals to take care of your odd jobs. Can I come over and work for you that day if you are short handed?
