My Trip To D.C. To Counter The Communists

On Saturday I joined other patriots in our nation's capitol as it came under renewed assault from the anti-American, communist-backed group known as A.N.S.W.E.R.

I returned from Washington, D.C. late Saturday night after a whirlwind trip in which I drove 800 miles within a twenty-four hour period. I joined other patriots in our nation's capitol as it came under renewed assault from the anti-American, communist-backed group known as A.N.S.W.E.R. Now why on earth would I drive so far, leaving the comforts of my home, simply to be verbally assaulted by a group of left-wing wackos? The answer is simple; I made this trip to show my support for our President, our troops, and our country.

I also made this trip to show the nation and the world that these leftist protesters do not speak for me. I could not in good conscience sit by and allow them to march unopposed, spewing their venomous hatred not only for President Bush, but also for our country. They do not represent mainstream America, despite the attempts of the mainstream media to convince us otherwise. What the media fails to report is that the primary backer of the anti-war rallies has been the group A.N.S.W.E.R., a conglomerate of communist organizations. I was saddened to see some young children and teens marching with these people, unaware of what they stand for. The majority of the professionally made signs held by the anti-war protesters were stamped "International Socialist Organization." Enough said.

What else did the media fail to report? They did not report that this anti-war protest was deemed a huge failure. A.N.S.W.E.R. had estimated their numbers to be approximately 100,000, yet I can attest that they had no more than 10,000 people in attendance. Furthermore, I have heard reports that their event in San Francisco attracted only several hundred supporters. This is very good news because it shows their movement is losing supporters as their anti-American agenda becomes more visible.

The media's cameras also failed to capture the message of hatred for all things American. U.S. flags were desecrated with swastikas while our flags received the one-finger salute. Displays of anti-capitalism, sexism, racism, and anti-semitism were not reported. Eggs were thrown at police officers. Now why on earth would "peace" protesters be carrying eggs? The terrorists of the world were watching these protests, taking great joy in the support they received from their new allies on the left. The actions of these people could have a negative impact on the morale of our soldiers as well. That's why it's imperative that the media report on the patriotic presence as well.

It was at our second rallying point, along the parade route of A.N.S.W.E.R., that we came face to face with these people. Despite the eggs, despite the horrible signs painting our President as everything from a new Adolf Hitler to an evil capitalist criminal, I couldn't help but feel sorry for some of the participants. They fail to realize they are on the wrong side of history. Surely they were unaware that they were marching with a vile, anti-American communist group? We, too, want the troops to come home. We don't want war, but we cannot allow terrorism to survive. To show weakness, to pull our troops from Iraq at this time, would only spell disaster for America.

I think several of these people were uncomfortable with the viciousness of the protesters as they came around the corner and saw our patriotic signs and show of support for our country. Like rabid dogs, they screamed, spit, ranted, and raved. They are the ones driven by anger and hatred. They are the same people that spit on our returning soldiers from Vietnam and called them "baby killers." They are the social misfits, the dirty and the disheveled, that relish social upheaval. They are the strong supporters of groups like A.N.S.W.E.R. and it was good that we exposed them for what they represent. They didn't disappear after the anti-war protests of the past spring, only to reappear now. No, they had merely channeled their energy into working for the Howard Dean campaign.

No bias in the media? The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, the organizers of the event, notified C-Span well in advance of the day's events, only to be told that C-Span would only cover the A.N.S.W.E.R. rally. C-Span must have determined that several hundred Americans, proclaiming support for their country, were not newsworthy. Furthermore, despite the abundance of reporters and camera crews that interviewed us during and after our engagement with A.N.S.W.E.R. along their march route, there was little if any reporting of our presence and viewpoint. Even my local news outlets, notified of my intentions weeks ago, seemed to have no interest, yet carried the network headlines about "huge anti-war protests." So much for presenting both sides of the issue.

Hats off to the D.C. Police Department for handling this event in a most professional manner. There was zero police presence at our initial rally point as there was no need for one. We did have to flag down an officer to remove one "peace" protester who tried to disrupt our singing of "God Bless America" as we concluded our rally. Several others stopped by early on and vandalized the porta-potties we had rented for our event. It was quite a contrast to the police presence necessary along the route of the anti-war protesters -- there was a large police presence in combat gear. As we proceeded up Pennsylvania Avenue to our second rally point, we received numerous thumbs up displays from these blue knights in body armor. It was nice to see they appreciated our presence on the field of battle that day.

Finally, it was a glorious day to be in Washington, D.C., the capitol of the greatest country in the world. It was wonderful to be involved with such an event, to be up at the crack of dawn and to see the sun rise behind the Capitol Building. My chest swelled with pride as I met others who feel as I do, people from all walks of life, patriots showing their support for their country. We heard from a great panel of speakers, from former Congressman Bob Dornan to a gentleman from Iraq. All shared the same message; we live in the greatest country in the world, we cannot compromise with evil, and we cannot allow groups like A.N.S.W.E.R. to portray themselves as a group that represents America. It's too bad the liberal media failed to report on both sides of the issue, particularly the American side.

I watched these people on C-SPAN, with their faces all wrenched and twisted as they shouted their vulgar and hateful invectives in the most disturbing manner. I just can't understand how such hateful people could claim to want peace! Spitting and giving the finger to anyone that disagrees with them, throwing eggs and defacing the American flag...these people are simply...evil.

If you had a spoiled child, that stood in your face and screamed and yelled at you, pouted and writhed his face into a knot while telling you off, egged your car and called you a fascist nazi...all because you loved that child and wanted it to have a good life...what would your response be?

The image of the angry, violent, leftist protester is popular in the media, but it's less than 1/1000th of the people at the demo. Most of them are upset, but, don't get violent.

Any crowd is going to have it's violent people, especially in America, where we get mad over the most insignificant things. You'll see the angriest mobs at crowded restaurants where alcohol is served, and at some sales at Christmastime. You'll see them at college and high school football games. You'll see them at rock concerts, especially metal shows, which tend to attract the most extremely conservative, nationalistic people around.

These crowds outdo a public protest many times over. The only really aggressive protest in LA is the Oct. 22 march against police brutality, and even that is nothing compared to the chaos of a true riot or an English soccer hooligan riot. The other demos, especially ANSWERs, are pretty mellow and uneventful, unless you are actually into marching. Typically, the organizers (yes, the commies) are ordering the marchers to stand behind yellow tape. That's what the police want. So the organizers go along with it and herd people around, almost like the cops.

I've always dreamed that there'd be something exciting happening at these events, like the mob breaking ranks and taking over a shopping mall. It never happens, though. Usually, a lone person makes some error in judgement, and a gang of police will swarm on him and arrest him. That's all, and the guy sometimes gets screwed by the police, unfairly.

It's ironic, isn't it?

Sometimes, I wonder if some of the anti-protest, anti-peace, anti-whatever-the-kids-are-doing adults aren't just frustrated parents, or wannabe parents, or failed adults. Stop raining on the parade already.

If we can pull some pop-psychology out of the hat about "angry kids protesting because they hate their parents," isn't it just as valid to look at the real motivation for this adult anger?

Consider the infamous Rush Limbaugh. That guy was a condescending blowhard, but behind the pompous, deceptive mask, was a drug and food addicted sad sack with low self esteem.

You gotta wonder sometimes, about these angry people who keep coming back to IMC to trash the newswire.

Conclusions

Republican and conservative Hollywood stars run for office, and are generally untalented hacks who get into show biz for the same reason they get into politics: megalomania. Once in office, they function best as puppets.

Democrat Hollywood stars are good actors.

Ed Begley, who does some "political" stuff, is a notable exception, and not a great actor either. Then again, he might actually be a pretty good politician.

While it may be true that most didn’t get “violent”, the so called “peace protestors” that I typically see are loud, angry, and present their messages in a hateful tone. You say they are not “violent”, but you say they ARE “upset”. I say they are bitter, angry, and hateful.

No. My kids are quite responsible, happy, and well-adjusted. I’ve raised them with firm discipline and love. And they’re turning out quite well, thanks.

But I did grow up with a problemed-sibling. My sister was a terror and there was nothing my parents could do to change it. She was incorrigible, much like many of the hateful people I saw at that DC protest on C-SPAN. Today, she is in jail for distributing ecstasy. And I predicted as much, even when I was only twelve, that she’d end up in jail.

And I basically saw two types of people attending that protest I saw on C-SPAN: angry, hateful, recalcitrant youths, and washed up, outdated, aging hippy types.
I’m a pretty good judge of character, and I think I’m right on. I’ve got you “peace protestors” pegged. If you’re not hateful, angry people then you really should disassociate yourselves from your leaders, because they are making you look very, very bad.

Members of the counter-protest group began saying that a woman 5-months pregnant with the counter-protesters was injured in the scuffle. Her husband, David Fields, has made the following statement:

"My wife (who is 5 months pregnant) and I joined about 50 other Protest Warriors on Saturday in D.C. to infiltrate the anti-war rally sponsored by A.N.S.W.E.R., and they were apparently expecting us. As soon as we began making our way into the crowd, we had one person after another attempting to block our progress, telling us that we weren't allowed to be there, and within minutes, several rally "marshals" in yellow vests began trying to rope us off into a little "pen." We continuously asked them why they weren't being tolerant of our free speech rights, but the best responses they could come up with was a "f--- you!" We attempted to engage them in a healthy debate, but they wouldn't have any of it, and it wasn't long before they began trying to shove many of us out of the rally by force. I expected some resistance, and so I remained calm and just stood my ground, not wanting the face-off to escalate into anything violent. But when a couple of the "marshals" began shoving my pregnant wife around, I came VERY close to physically attacking them in her defense. But I settled for stepping in front of them and letting them know, in no uncertain terms, that she is pregnant, and if they didn't stop man-handling her, I would defend her with extreme force. In response to that, they would step back (but only for a minute or two), and say that in order for her not to be physically assaulted, I would have to get her out of there. This scene was repeated several times, and each time the same people became a little more rough with my wife, who, to her credit, didn't back down from their assault and stood her ground, questioning their purported "tolerance" and "peacefulness" with every one of their shoves.

Eventually, one of the "marshals," who my wife believes was under the influence of drugs, physically charged into me and attempted to rip up the two-sided sign I was carrying. After tearing down one side of my sign, this "peace-lover" returned and practically climbed on top of me to rip off the other side. My only resistance to his physical attacks was to point out his infringement of my free-speech rights, and to try to shield my sign from his prying fingers. Unfortunately, he succeeded in destroying my property, with the aid of several other "marshals," some of whom were still trying to rope us off. Even some of the anti-war rally attenders tried to intervene, telling the "marshals" that we were allowed to be there, and that they shouldn't try to silence us or make us leave."

If anyone cares, I've just completely blown apart some guy named Hex anon with his goofy conspiracy theory about the WTC attack and subsequent disaster. Yep, I'm the 'Listen and not "Hear" ' fellow [I don't want my 'm0rtaar' handle associated over there].

I decided to use cold hard facts to blow him away. Have a read and you'll sit back and enjoy how Hex's theories can't even stand up to cold analysis.

Either those people are lying big-time about their professional experience, or our engineering schools need to do a better job of turning out more well-rounded graduates with people skills.

CIA agents blew up the WTC and what we thought were planes were just carefully manufactured hallucinations put into our brains by the previous night's evening news.

Here is a guy who was just going about doing his day to day job and he got shot in the forehead with a bullet. Poor fellow. he was innocent also...... sort of...

a couple of LGF trolls had to limp back to LGF to "gloat" by lying and making their own version up to comfort themselves

the actual thread in question shows *he* gave up

(this whole thing started when a person mentioned a website that has 9-11 stuff on it and it also has several dozen pictures of *Palestinians*)

it has some right-wing crap too, and some anti-zionist data (accurate)

they wanted to discredit the website, so they posted their usual LGF trademark discrediting spam..

I thought it was suspicious they trashed the site so quickly, when they couldn't have had time to read it (only a matter of minutes later)

So I surfed there and found out why (as above)

I looked the whole site over, started mirroring it, then posted on IMC that it's got Palestinian pics, plus the 9-11 and other stuff (I was always honest about what the site has, but my point is they can't trash the site when it's got *valuable information* on it - which I mirrored)

they then attacked the discussion about the 9-11 info and so on

it boiled down to moorter thinking himself "qualified" to paste and parrot standard government propaganda

which I faulted methodology, lack of samples, etc on (mostly in another nearby thread as I recall)

the standard ending to a LGF troll incursion into technical matters...

so now people know it was just LGF trolls playing their games (I suspected that at the time but didn't really care)
