Los Angeles Indymedia is BLOCKING access by IP address!

According to their privacy policy:

NOTICE

The LA-IMC web server does not track the domains or IP addresses from which people visit and/or post to the la.indymedia.org web site. Usage of other services, however, may be logged.

This is a LIE.

Fortunately, I am a KOBE, which means that neither I nor any KOBE can be blocked from any website. I can, however, tell you that Los Angeles Indymedia is now blocking posters they do not like by locking out their IP addresses with an .htaccess file. That means that not only will your posts never be read by this so-called "Open Publishing" website, but that they are now in violation of Indymedia guidelines.

I encourage anyone reading this message to write to the Independent Media Collective to address this issue. First it is me, then it might be you. If this place werent so "high and mighty" about it's Open Publishing policy, it might not be considered such a travesty. This is INDEPENDENT MEDIA, and not some closed website.
