Actually, New Orleans and the French Quarters is party city. And I do mean PARTY!!

The point stands that a great many Californians, like the great many Americans who support the resident, are complete fucking morons. Sure, Gray Davis is a chump, but Arnold Schwarzenegger??? Are good old-fashioned conservatives really thinking this guy is going to do a good job?

Please don't blame the entire state for the election of Schwartzengroper. Aside from the fact that many people don't or can't vote here, a majority of the people who did vote voted against the sex offender/Nazi. And, in all fairness, it must be pointed out that many of the most infamous Californians of the 20th century came here from other states. They include Charles Manson(born in Cincinnati), Ronnie Reagan (from Ilinois), Pete Wilson (from St. Louis), and Schwartzengroper himself (from Austria). Nixon was from here, but even in his case it should be remembered that his totally screwed up father, who apparantly passed on his behavior patterns to Dickie boy, came here as an adult from Columbus, Ohio.

There is one main reason Davis got the boot: The people were angry and fed-up with unchecked liberalism.

All the money Californian's produce and the infrastructure is falling apart. It was more important to give money to labor-unions and political cronies than it was to do the people's business.

Davis said the deficit was going to be around $8 billion, and it turned out after the election it was more like $25-$35 billion, AND HE KNEW IT DURING THE CAMPAIGN! He just wanted to be elected.

The people voted their wallets, and unchecked liberalism was robbing them blind. Yesterday, they gave unchecked liberalism the boot.

64% of voters chose one of the two Republicans (mostly the more "moderate" of the two)
60% of registered voters voted
Something like 60% of eligible voters are registered
And, then there is a percentage of those Californians that cannot vote.
So, that leave around 25% or so of all Californians that actually voted for a Republican at all. Wow, what a mandate!

... the state coffers.

For the past 5 years, California has had a Democratic governor, Democratic controlled senate and house, all the major cities and counties are run by Democrats, but with a $40 billion dollar deficit, it's the Republicans that robbed the coffers.
