Stock up on groceries now...California Grocery clerks will most likely stike by the end of this week.
Like most other labor disputes...the corporations (Ralphs/Kroger, Vons, and Albertsons) have begun a disinformation campaign to demoralize the union members. Union workers are in fear of losing their jobs and are helplessly watching while upper management is training outsiders and incouraging scabs to replace them.
So go get your groceries now...and ask the clerks who work there about the situation...and let them know you stand in solidarity!
I talked with a few clerks earlier today and they seemed so relieved to know that there are people outside the union who care about their situation.
