When candidates were asked about the scandal facing the absent candidate, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Camejo replied, if it had been a black man, or poor white he would be handcuffed and slapped in prison. None of the candidates minimized the nature of the allegations, but McClintock did question the molestation charges being exposed so close to the election.
