WHILE MANY CANDIDATES KNOW HOW TO LOOK THE PART, AND TALK THE PART, DIANE TEMPLIN IS THE PART. THIS FEMALE AMERICAN INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE HAS FOSTERED OVER 65 CHILDREN. SHE NEEDS NO SCRIPTS OR CASINOS, BUT IS A LADY OF INTEGRITY. SHE BELIEVES IN THE SANCTITY OF LIFE AND RECEIVED 173,543 VOTES FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL IN 2002. THIS IS NO SMALL AMOUNT IN A STATE WHICH ONLY GIVES MEDIA COVERAGE TO A FEW HANDPICKED CANDIDATES!

Diane Beall Templin of San Diego will be the American Independent Party's candidate for Governor in the October 7, 2003 Gray Davis recall election. She will apparently be the only American Independent candidate among more than 190 candidates who filed. So far (8-11-03), only 89 of the candidates, including Templin, have qualified for the ballot.

Ron Gulke of Clovis, the A.I.P.'s nominee for Governor in 2002, had indicated an interest in running the recall election, but did not complete his filing, leaving the field clear for Templin.

Templin, a dynamic, colorful campaigner, has been the American Independent Party's top vote getter in the last three California elections. She received 173,543 votes for Attorney General in 2002, and also led the A.I.P. ticket in 2000, when she ran for U.S. Senator, and in 1998 when she was the party's nominee for Attorney General.

Having only one American Independent on the October 7 ballot should be of benefit to the A.I.P. Among the qualified candidates, there are already 37 Democrats, 24 Republicans, 19 Independents, 3 Greens, and 3 Libertarians.

Templin, an attorney and realtor by profession, is also a health care advocate, and has been a foster mother to 68 children. She is the founder of Advocates Legal Services, and Advocate Ministries for seniors and children……
