Forced Taxation is Immoral

by judith mpls Friday, Sep. 12, 2003 at 12:50 PM

Why do we cooperate when we buy a car or groceries - yet the government has to use force to get the same money?

Why can't the State use cooperation to get our money, the same as the grocery store? Because only the stupid must use force to get their way. The State is nothing but a bully and teaches everyone to be bullies, just like the State. Want something? Use force to get it - like the IRS does. So everyone is aggressive and bully-like.

The religious nuts should make money, not war. If they were busy creating something or exploring or making something that mankind wanted, they wouldn't have time to bomb and run around like criminals (government employees). The State and the relgious nuts are the same thing. They have too much time and money to spend fucking with us. If they worked like us, they would be too busy and happy making money to mess with others. They wouldn't have time to be busybodies. They would be happily working and cooperating with others and using common sense and reason to get by. They wouldn't have time to nose into other's lives. That's what makes them so good. The bad are the busybodies, the ones that want to make everyone like them. Leave others alone, and watch the world get nicer and better.

Let the grocery chain owners run everything

by Bekka Valley Friday, Sep. 12, 2003 at 2:17 PM

Ah yes, let the owners of Vons/Safeway and Kroger/Ralph's run the show and save us from such evils as social security and public health insurance. They certainly would not be dictatorial or exploitive - just ask the store clerks who are forced to give phony smiles to customers and follow them around the store fawning on them. Or the people who live in low-income neighborhoods, who are charged higher prices because the store managers know they are unlikely to go elsewhere because they can't afford more gasoline or don't own cars at all. Free enterprise, that's for me.

Sorry, but I'm much too simpleminded to understand your post. I'm a conservative.
