What pisses me off about america.

by The New X Wednesday, Jul. 02, 2003 at 9:36 AM

a

Do you konw what pisses me off about america? When you think about it, US foreign policy is aimed at allowing Americans to continue to drive their SUVs on their shitty american potholed "roads" just so that they can go and photograph their children at "grand marches." Grand march! what? would someone please be so kind as to tell me waht is so grand about them? they are held in the basketball court of shoddy high schools for crying out loud!

If the american way of life was really special, i honestly would not be complaining because it would be worth preserving. but the american way of life SUCKS! and it pisses me off that millions have to die just so that americans can continue to live their shitty "way of life."

Way of Life

by Meyer London Wednesday, Jul. 02, 2003 at 12:55 PM

You are right about the dreary, mindless and souless "way of life" (centered around buying commodities with credit cards and watching crap on television). And you are right that millions die to keep it going. But it is always unfair to generalize. Some people driving every day do so not because they love motor vehicles or because they identify them with macho manhood and aggression, but because virtually no public transit exists in large parts of this nation. The population has been brainwashed as surely as the Germans were under Hitler. What we have to do is figure out a way to break this society up like Humpty Dumpty so that it can never be put back together again - or at least we have to assist it in breaking itself up before it breaks up the rest of the world like a giant egg.

Missing Nuts

by Meyer London Wednesday, Jul. 02, 2003 at 12:57 PM

By the way, where are all the ultra-right wing nuts today? Did Ashcroft (or the local police chief) give them another day off? Are they at a filming of the Jerry Springer Show? At a miniskirt fashion show featuring Ann Coulter?

"By the way, where are all the right-wingers today?"

You wanna know the truth? Do you?

There's nothing new at this site. Lately, the conversations from your side has all been the same thing repeated over and over and over........................... until it's just boring. After we've commented on the same thing 50 gazillion times and made our point, why would we continue to answer over and over and over..................?

Try some new subjects, something other than "Bush is Hitler", or "WMD's" or "Israel is evil" or "Bush Junta this and Bush Junta that" or "911 what really happened" or "fascist this and fascist that" or "america sux" or etc..... People get tired of the same thing. It's like having a ham and cheese sandwich everyday for lunch for 70 years. After a while, you'd like to partake of something different.

frescaw und Eric - gave the game away on that one. Don't know exactly where davemoron went but he is going to be gone for a while. They did not realize they had given it away which makes it even juicier.

Maybe he is retreading Kindergarten?

Attending advanced training on PsyOps/PR Posting?

I expect that davemoron will be back. Perhaps with a new Nick Name.

Who knows?

Who cares?

That's how the weapon contractors deal with problems. We throw more money at them and they lap it up. Schools, for instance get
starved. Can you say double standard?

Constitution

by law Thursday, Jul. 03, 2003 at 5:02 AM

The Constitution says "the people" will provide for the common defense, which we do with our tax dollars.

The Constitution does not say "the people" will provide for education or "the people" will provide health insurance. Education and health issues should be left to the local communities and the states. Education, health and health insurance is not a "right".

Beliefs of the Neanderthals

by Meyer London Thursday, Jul. 03, 2003 at 6:06 AM

Just to show how right wing some of the fruitcakes who visit this board are, not even reactionaries like Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan, or Barry Goldwater claimed that there was no need for public spending on the health and education of the American people. That diatribe by the person calling himself/herself "Law" read like something penned by the dictator of some US controlled "bannana republic" or the head of the Montana militia movement. Only spend money on the military? Like they don't have more than they know what to do with already? Besides, spending money on the military for the most part really means siphoning taxpayer money to private companies like General Dynamics, Boeing and General Electric. More subsidies for the rich, disguised as "national defense."
What Law really wants is the law of the jungle. Maybe this person has never heard of FDR's Four Freedoms or the many declarations of the United Nations on human rights. Sorry, Law, but it is no longer 1903 and the masses of people are not going to be content to live in poverty and ignorance, or spend their lives cleaning the homes or watering the gardens of rich parasites.

You'll never make it as Mayor this way.

The Constitution says "we the people" are to provide for the common defense. The Constitution does not say "we the people" are entitled to an education or to health care. That's not to say we don't want and need those things, they are simply not a right we are granted by the Constitution.

Stop reading into things that aren't there. You'll save yourself a lot of grief and time.

I contend that education and health are better left to the states and local communities. There's no way some bureaucrat in Wash. D.C. can possibly understand the needs of a particular community or state better than the particular community or state itself.

Attention: All Commentors

by one of the editors Thursday, Jul. 03, 2003 at 7:03 AM

On the thread "THE GUANTLET HAS BEEN THROWN", we at LA-IMC have purposely made it so that if anyone trys to post a comment to this string, it will not show up.

Should the word ever get out that than "VICTORY" and "WINNING" is not defined as just raising the issue, but rather "VICTORY" and "WINNING" actually involves having one's agenda implemented, it would kill our whole movement.

Thank you for your understanding in the matter.
