As someone who has been active for change for years now, I admit that I would rather have results. Results is something that has been too far and few between for the activists community and it is often difficult to continue knowing the odds are stacked against us. Because of that, I have chosen to concentrate my efforts towards one or two things I think we have a better chance at reaching more people and creating a concensus. But it's true, victory is achieved by advancing your cause. To simply raise the issue time and time again hoping it will walk on its own does not get us anywhere. Some issues will never go any further than the activists community. We would all be better off if we would recognize when this is taking place and to then redirect our efforts towards those things that people are paying more attention to.
