The theme for this year is “True Colors”

The Pride Parade began at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 22, on Santa Monica Boulevard. Cyndi Lauper was celebrity grand marshal, celebrating her birthday and riding in a float sponsored by the Abbey. The community grand marshals are ULOAH and Gilbert Baker, creator of the Rainbow Flag. This year's parade has close to 200 entries, including an impressive number of floats. It ended with a bang, as Baker brought a 400-foot piece of the world’s longest Rainbow Flag, restored to its original eight colors in celebration of the flag’s 25th anniversary.
