The Young Communist League of Texas (TX-YCL) has recently launched a new website. The website boasts several interactive features; users may vote in online polls, place events on the TX-YCL web calendar, and even submit articles for publishing. You may visit the site at www.texasycl.org.

Users may register with the site and create online profiles. Registered users can access several hidden features, including theme management and comments configurations. They may also post comments with their username.

Matt Parker, University of North Texas YCL club chair, stated, "The Texas YCL created the web site to facilitate better inter-organizational communication. We also needed a way for interested but cautious people to contact us anonymously."

Since the site's emergence on the web, it has received over 35,000 hits. Mike Clagg, YCL member and professional web designer, built the site using the open source content management system, "Post-Nuke."

You may reach the author at Txycl-admin@worldunrest.org

.....communists............eesh.

by énrages Friday, May. 09, 2003 at 6:08 PM

Why just have crazed authoritarians that just want to take away your civil liberties when you can have ones that look foward to control every aspect of your life!!!

Hurray for AUTHORITARIAN COMMUNISM and the idiocy it chooses to follow.

I, for one have learned from the betrayed revolutions and rebellions of the past.

Authoritarian Communism?: NO!
Direct Worker's Self-Control?: YES!

[Man..........I've just read "The Society of the Spectacle"(Guy Debord) and it's claims seem to ring even more true than ever........scary, eesh.]

A few points for you to consider;

Communism don't work.

The Wall fell down.

Texans don't like Commies.

And they pack heat.

Just because I'm calling out authoritarian communists doesn't mean I am a McCarthy-ist, at all. I just know that AUTHORITARIAN communism is just a giant "faux pas."

And by the way........if I was a McCarthy-ist I'd have to call out myself for being a "radical" as well. So go blow your ideas of "red-baiting" somewhere else, eesh.

And what exactly is "Direct worker-control"?............Well you just might call it the 'truest' form of Communism.........leaving all them hierarchies behind.

Nothing and I mean NOTHING is more of a transparent affectation than to claim support for communism. It's like claiming to support cancer or screaming that you're a fan of teh XFL.
Yet another website put up by bored rich middle class white kids who hate their parents until the money runs out.
