Join activists, dressed in yellow "Kodak Toxic Cleanup Crew" Hazmat Suits
this Wednesday outside Kodak's Annual Meeting at the Kodak Theatre.

What: Activists dressed in yellow "Kodak Toxic Cleanup Crew" hazmat suits
flyering and press conference outside Eastman Kodak's Annual Meeting
When: Wednesday May 7th, 2003, 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Where: Kodak Theatre, 6801 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, California

Join us outside Kodak's annual meeting, as we talk to shareholders about our
concerns about Kodak's hazardous pollution, and the disproportionate impact
Kodak's releases have on children, low-income, and communities of color.

We will be handing out informational flyers to shareholders, and hold a
press conference to
generate media coverage. On the inside of THE meeting Citizens'
Environmental Coalition will be introducing a shareholder resolution, Adopt
a Non-Toxics Chemical Policy, which calls on Kodak to phase out the
production and use of persistent toxic chemicals, such as dioxin and
mercury.

WARNING: KODAK'S TOXIC EMISSIONS MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH

Environmental justice is an issue for families living within half a mile of
Kodak, where the average household income is $7,343 lower than the county
average. Within a quarter mile of Kodak, residents of color make up over 20%
of the population.

Kodak is not only New York State's number one manufacturing polluter, but
also one of the nation's top polluters of cancer-causing chemicals,
including dioxin and methylene chloride. A recent report published by the
US Public Interest Research Group found that Rochester, NY, home to Kodak
experienced the greatest overall releases of cancer-causing chemicals
between 1987-2000 due to Kodak's pollution. Kodak has a long history of
environmental violations, contamination of the Rochester community, dumping
of hazardous wastes in Kodak Park, and advocacy for the weakening of
environmental regulations.
