Boycott Baseball

by The Babe Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 6:21 AM

Boycott Major Leage Baseball. MLB wants to participate in the blackmailing and censorship of free views and freedom of speech.

Boycott Major Leage Baseball. Why? Read the story in the links below and see how the President of the hall of fame made comments about the peace movement. Write them letters and emails. Demand an apology. This is America, not a fascist country where we blackmail people for expressing views of peace.

For the story go to:
http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/5605738.htm

or

http://www.boston.com/dailynews/099/sports/Stung_by_anti_war_criticism_Ha%3A.shtml

For links on who to write to see:

http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/help/mlb_help_contact_us.jsp

and

A real patriot.

Update of the situation

by Updater Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 8:49 AM

Looks like people are starting to see the threat of censorship and blackmail. The article below talks about a sports writer that is boycotting the hall of fame for its anti peace stance.

We must unfortunately stoop to their level in some regards..

by Pissed Off in Ohio Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 11:15 AM

I just got finished writing off an angry condemning letter. I encourage everyone else here to do the same. I have told them that I will boycott the hall of fame and baseball entirely until Petrosky has been forced to resign, and that i will lobby with other members of my community locally to do the same.

Everyone please follow suit and let these people know that this is unacceptable.

The enemy has made a policy of browbeating and implementing angry mobs to further its agenda since the recounts, and at near every event since. We are fully capable of doing the same and it is high time we began doing so.

So what are you waiting for, get that email sent out already....

Simple

by Simple Simon Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 11:23 AM

Waaaaaaaaaaaa....

Did somebody not get the response they wanted?

Did somebody shoot their ignorant mouths off and now are shocked, SHOCKED, that other people disagree with them?

Boo hoo hoo.

This 'boycott', like the rest of your pathetic 'movement' will peter out presently.

Put a fork in it. It's done.

Take me out to the ball game...

Bah

by Pissed Off in Ohio Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 11:35 AM

Yes, I object to our invasion of these peoples lands. I object to US artillery blowing the arms off little boys and killing half their families. I object to the web of lies and browbeating the have facilitated this madness. I object every damn aspect of this bullshit... And it happened anyways and i'm certainly aware of that. And your reaction to as much has clearly defined you as the inhuman treachorous bastard that you are. You act as a cheerleader to misery and for that I condemn you.

You will rot in hell for you deeds simon. I'm not a religious man but I find it undeniable that you will have your day of suffering and it shall be a long one.

You are the worst of society, of humanity, and certainly the most piss poor excuse for an American I have ever heard of. If I had any one wish in life it would be that you were never born, you goddamned disgrace.

Simon sent to Minors

by Everyone agrees Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 11:40 AM

Simon, a third string provocateur was sent to the minors yesterday for trying to get his team to be seen as good, honest, and intelligent by humanity. Unfortunately, he has responded as he always does, by throwing another tantrum. His agent, fromer Enron guru
Don Mayberry said "Well, we'll just force the taxpayers to pay for his karmic fines, hell, Americans can afford it, we'll tack it onto the military tax/budget under the re-education camps clause."

He will be playing under Manager Barney Fife who said blankly "Doggone it, how come I get all the losers sent to me."

PS, I sent my letter to MLB in this morning, Hideo is gonna have to win 20 games without my applause. Unless they fire that republican lardass, that is.

christ almighty leave it to the left to dilute itself into irrelevency. You want to get some bullshit movement started every ten minutes. This action will be as useless as a 90yr. old man with an empty bottle of viagra. Petrovsky will still have his job this time next year.

Simple

by Simple Simon Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 2:40 PM

POIO, how does it feel to be in the perverse position of wishing the Iraqi people were still under the heel of Hussein's boot?

Your ethics need a little tuning, son. Or didn't you take ethics at community college? Not a prerequisite for an associates in nursing? The idea of weighing the tiny number of unfortunate civilian casualties in this campaign heavier than the millions of victims of Hussein's rape, torture, and murder over the course of 24 years is absolutely assinine. Much like the Afghans before them, why don't you ask the Iraqis if they would prefer the status quo ante bellum.

Tell me, POIO, are you like your little friend Brian O'Connor? Do you 'dislike' Saddam Hussein, but 'loathe' President Bush?

You're one messed up pup.

Simon the degenerate inveterate

by Bill Lee Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 2:53 PM

Oh Simon the simpleton is back spouting his cryptofascist nonsesne. Go back to Langley shill, your failures need to be restudied. Maybe you'll get them right in some future of hellish nationalist thuggery. Not likely.

You struck out!

I recall that this war was to find "weapons of mass destruction"
not about a regime change, or liberating the Iraqi people.

What a retard.

Simple

by Simple Simon Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 3:25 PM

Charming nickname. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Tell me, what good would our going into Iraq and taking away all of Saddam Hussein's illegal toys do, if we left him and his power structure in place? Do you use that thing on your neck for anything other than a hat rack?

The goal of this campaign was to remove a regime which would not scruple to use any weapons that it possessed. WMD themselves are not harmful - but in the hands of a despot who possesses such a strong anti-American animus they are dangerous indeed.

Don't worry, little 'peace'nik. The WMD will be discovered. And more torture chambers. And mass graves. And the mutilated remains of our former soldiers unfortunate enough to fall in the hands of the Iraqis. The evidence is there, and is being uncovered apace.

This is a great day for the human race. A people is free. And only the lowest of creatures from the softest segments of our society could have such a lack of ethics and morality as not to see it.

What the hell?

by Keyser Soze Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 6:36 PM

Let me get this straight....You would call for a boycott on baseball and the loss of a mans job over this, but you do not support the ousting of Saddam for the injustice he has put on the Iraqi people over these many years. Look, I have a solution to the problems the left has with all this war stuff going on.....stop using all of your time to organize and attend anti-war rallies, stop fucking worrying about Major League Baseball, and get a fucking job!

I'm having trouble...

by fresca Sunday, Apr. 13, 2003 at 6:40 PM

...beleiving that a boycott of MLB from a handful of leftists is going to create much notice in Selig's office. Maybe I don't understand the concept of boycotts but don't you have to show SUPPORT of a business before you can reverse that and start a BOYCOTT? How many of you, are into baseball and spend money on it to begin with?
