The war is going extremely well

by Bush Admirer Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 7:34 AM

GW Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and the rest of our esteemed leaders deserve a hearty round of applause for finally addressing and solving the festering absess that was Saddam.

The war is going ext...
therightman.jpgnynxjq.jpg, image/jpeg, 314x475

What we've seen since the last Presdiential election is the emergence of a remarkable leader. GW Bush actually goes after problems with the intent of solving them. He's got to be the biggest Presidential upgrade in history (not saying much considering that he succeeded the worst President in history) and he's starting to look like a great president in his own right. Imagine that, a President that actually gets things done and solves long festering worl problems. Hat's off to George and the whole administration. Kudo's to our military as well. They're great. Major applause for the Military Industrial complex -- the guys like Raytheon who developed superor weaponry.

Evil countries like Syria and Iran should carefully rethink their support for terrorism. George won't put up with it.

Colonialization and dehumanizatrion

by Parmenides Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 7:56 AM

The only thing that has been accomplished, aside from the slaughter of thousands of civilians is that bush has made america into the new colonizer of the world. Colonialization is a process of dehumanization and will only create an endless process of revenge and death directed by the dehumanized population against their colonial oppressors.

That is bush's legacy. If you cannot see it for what is than you either are an idiot or worse, a paid clerk pushing propaganda papers for the capitalist death machine. Either way your songs of victory are premature, and they are certainly against the tenets of liberty and freedom.

by david thompson Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 8:22 AM

aside from the horror that comes with the military operations, do any of you see or hear the majority of iraqis wanting saddam to stay in power? get a clue people. the iraqis should be commended for dealing with this mess. do you see the majority of iraqis protesting in the streets? no you don't. open your eyes.

Patience

by Yokote Nevar Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 8:51 AM

What George Bush has and has not accomplished...truly accomplished will be seen in the many years to come. I feel that we cannot ignore the intent of his actions. We often hear "liberation"... I, personally am not convinced that is his true intent. I do know some of what is happening now...in this moment...war...terror for all those involved. Death, psychological trauma, and chaos...was there another way? I believe that humanity can grow beyond the "need for war" and perhaps this was our opportunity to understand this. I grieve for all who are involved...the american soldiers, the Iraqi's, the journalists, etc. How will our soldiers return...proud?...traumatized?...struggling to reconcile with their own consciences? How will the Iraqi's truly feel about the United States?...and how will the world perceive the U.S.? Time will answer these questions. In the meantime, I grieve this war.

Yakote

by Bush Admirer Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 8:56 AM

It's pretty clear to anyone following the war reports that this really is a war of liberation. The Iraqi people have been terrorized by their own government for many years. Once Saddam and his henchmen are truly gone, we're going to see GW Bush hailed as a liberating hero by the Iraqis. He might actually become more popular with the Iraqis than his father is with the Kuwaiti's, and for the same reasons.

This debate is not between the Right and the Left. It's between the Right and the Wrong (also sometimes referred to as the Left).

The New X

by The New X Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 9:15 AM

It is clear that the US shares guilt for the deaths of thousands under the rule of saddam hussein. Iraqi and American officials should be tried for crimes against humanity. the US should apologize to the Iraqis killed during the time period in which it expressed massive support for Saddams terror campaigns.

liberation or capitalist laisez-faire chaos?

by Parmenides Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 9:17 AM

Liberate Iraq...? Just like in Afghanistan, right? Liberation for Afghani women? Free them from the tyranny of the Taliban? But instead Afghanistan has degenerated into a feudal warlord driven cycle of might makes right....but you can be sure that Chevron will get it's pipeline. And then there is Angola, Guatemala, Argentina, etc. Our gunsights and bombsites clear of Iraq..now Bush will lead us into his religous crusade against Columbia (and Venezuela), the Phillipines (and SE Asian oil and gas fields), and perhaps even here in America as he seeks to poison our water, foul our air, decimate our natural parks, demonize the poor, dismantle free and effective public education, and reduce our Bill of Rights to a paper fan with which to shiled ourselves from laughing thugs working for a police state.

Bush ad you are a fool. Being deluded by the most efficient propaganda machine in the world is no real blemish (unless we are trying to determine who is the most aware of geopolitics) but actively promoting their causi belli and the colonialist feudal/slave states to come in the conquered nations so a few americans can have more gold club memberships and be able to drive larger SUVs betrays your own distancing and retreat from the potential of humanity. You should change your handle to . But honesty is not really your trademark is it?

by Scottie Monday, Apr. 07, 2003 at 11:49 AM

That picture is disgusting. That baby is not there for your propoganda purposes.

The flags are an insult to the child no matter how much "flesh tearing" sarcasm you intended. (just as any other doctoring you might have done to the picture).

Besides that - if you are going to show it (unchanged) you are obliged to show why it is relevant.
