Incidentally, it doesn't look like they are screening the letters on the Operation Dear Abby site. Perhaps they screen them before they send them to the troops, but you can do "Read a Message" on the site and eventually see some that are not Pro-the-War.

You are limited to 1000 characters and asked not to attack any racial or religious group, or the USA. So if you keep your antiwar message patriotic you can even obey the rules, like a good little soldier!

To anyone entertaining the idea that sending anti-war emails to deployed troops is a good thing:

The troops are there because they HAVE to be. Reminder: they don't get a choice. Regardless of whether they feel the war is good or bad they are laying their lives on the line in the name of democracy and our collective freedom! To send them anti-war messages is wrong. All you'll do is demoralize the troops and exacerbate the hardships they are already experiencing (ie. separation from friends and family, facing death)
