During the last elections, no one knew that Bush would turn out to be Adolf Hitler in a cowshit hat. Clinton was a fascist himself. We lost many of our Constitutional protections under Clinton. Gore, many feared, would be more of the same. Quite frankly, we don't know what Gore would have done.

The events of 9/11 and their aftermath changed the public perception of Bush. Off came the mask and the ugly head of Hitler emerged. Comparing the image of Bush during the elections to the fascist asswipe currently in the administration is a futile exercize in BS. You know it.

Now, since members of the antiwar movement don't usually spend their time in public forums lashing out at each other, the only conclusion to come to is that the lead post was made by a fascist attempting to discredit a good IndyMedia writer. ...what I said was I supported Bush over Gore because I despise Gore. It does not mean that I liked Bush. It was one of those "damned if you do damned if you don't", decisions. My preference was Harry Browne the Libertarian but I knew as much as my heart was with him that I did not want Gore to win. I still regret not going with my conscience which was anyone but either of the two "officially sanctioned candidates".
