Simple

by Simple Simon Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 10:16 AM

Let's see;

Recession - economic slowdown was occurring for 9 months prior to the election.
War - kind of forced on us, wouldn't you say? Or is your solution to international terrorism and despotic regimes who sponser them that we pay them off or hug them a lot?
Greater Unemployment - necessary corollary of the economic slowdown.

Now, let's look at the bright side:

Dozens of terrorists in captivity.
Afghanistan is free of the Taliban.
Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden are both most likely dead.
Iraq will soon be free of the Ba'athists.

Not too bad for a new guy.

Psymple's half and quarter truths

by Diogenes Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 10:41 AM

Not so Psymple.

“Dozens of terrorists in captivity. “

Held without trial or benefit of counsel.
Held in “Tiger Cages” much like those used by the Viet Cong.
Many are believed to be innocent.
It is documented that many have been tortured. Some even beat to death.
Many Al-Qaeda were Air-Lifted out of Afghanistan.
Unocal got it’s Pipeline which the Taliban would not let them have for the price they wanted.

“Afghanistan is free of the Taliban. “

But only as the ruling political power. Recent reports demonstrate that women are still wearing Burhkas, are prevented from learning how to read, and Islamic Fundamentalists are enforcing draconian Islamic Laws.

Unocal got it’s Pipeline which the Taliban would not let them have for the price they wanted.

137 Special Forces Soldiers are known dead with another 91 wounded.

Unocal Got it’s Pipeline which the Taliban would not let them have for the price they wanted.

Hamid Karzi the installed U.S. Oil Company Approved President of Afghanistan cannot leave Kabul without an armed U.S. Military Escort. Did I mention he was one of Unocal’s negotiaters with the Taliban?

Unocal got it’s Pipeline which the Taliban would not let them have for the price they wanted.

This years Opium crop is expected to top 3750 TONS. Up from almost Zero under the Taliban. (Which I am not defending - just pointing out the contrast.) I wonder where the C.I.A. and the Bush family will spend all their profits from this operation?

“Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden are both most likely dead.”

Along with hundreds of innocents.
Along with hundreds of U.S. Fighting Men.
Unocal got it’s Pipeline which the Taliban would not let them have for the price they wanted.
The U.S. has stated privately that they intend to Privatize the Iraqi Oil Fields.
One of the first actions in Iraq was to secure the Southern Oil Fields.
Who will benefit? The Iraqi people. (Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. No likely.)

“Iraq will soon be free of the Ba'athists. “

And a brand new U.S. approved Military Dictator installed. The Iraqi National Congress is already miffed at being shunted aside now that they are no longer needed as a Propaganda Front. Current plans are to install a former U.S. General (Pro-Zionist) along with other Americans as the new government of the Oil Wells - oh excuse me Iraq.

“Not too bad for a new guy.”

EXCELLENT POST, DIOGENES

by Thank you, Diogenes Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 10:51 AM

What a pleasure to see someone like you contributing logic and facts in this vast wasteland which appears to be overrun by trolls.

I look for your posts and the posts of a few others and truly enjoy your contributions. Again, thank you.

ITOOGIOGENES

by SADDAM Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 11:02 AM

I too complement your wonderful postings. I hereby appoint you my American Minister of Propaganda. You are now an honorary member of the Baath Party and entitled to come to Iraq and participate in the raping and tortures of all non Baath infidels.

You will be everything you now fight to preserve. My way of Life. The good way the right way and most of all not like the American Dictator Bush.

I can't believe how you Americans live in such tyranny. You could come here to Iraq and help me in the struggle for justice and liberty for the peoples of Iraq.

Most of all to supervise the rebuild of my billion dollar palaces with slaves being paid $1.50 a week. Hurry Diogenes and save me from the murdering American soldiers who just yesterday executed nine of their own to make it look like my honorable soldiers did it.

Please also help to dispell the lying reporters from Newsweek who were in my jail and now say they heard peoples screaming in pain and begging for their lives while being tortured.

This is a propaganda lie you Diogenes know all truths so kindly post them and prove my innocence.

The Trolls are restless today.

by Diogenes Thursday, Apr. 03, 2003 at 11:06 AM

Can it be that the personal attacks, totally devoid of any original thought or substance, betray the frantic spinning resulting from the fact that their Rosy Scenarios have been proven LIES?

I forget my manners. You are welcome. It is a pleasure to cut through the fog the Trolls would create.
