Internet Site Censored

by My Mouth is Duct Taped Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2003 at 12:14 AM

Where are all the images of war?

Yellow Times has been shut down for showing images of dead civilians and photos of POWs from Arabic TV, while the provider's servers allows profitable porn sites.

Oh my god! I'm shocked. I used to write for YellowTimes! Does anyone have a way to contact the people that work there now? (or used to?)

the site is live, but censored

by ziggy Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2003 at 12:27 AM

That specific URL still shows the message that the site is suspended. That's not true. Use the main URL.

However, the cite was censored nevertheless. For more information, see

My Mouth is Duct Taped, that's a no brainer. If their acount has been "Account for domain yellowtimes.org has been suspended" I guess that all the pages for that site are down!

Guess it shows the lack of education of the protesters!

whoa...that's odd

by ziggy Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2003 at 12:54 AM

The never ending saga. They got their hosting provider to turn it back on last night after they took the POW and civilian casualties pictures down. And I was even at the site about 3 hours ago and it was up.

Really odd.

Maybe

Maybe the ilk at yellownews didn't keep their promise not to post the pictures.

Censorship isn't cool. Period.

Wouldn't want Freeper-land to be censored, and you shouldn't want YellowTimes to be censored. You're smart enough to "win" your arguments, I would think, without needing censorship. Maybe not. ;-)

i just tend to notice that a lot of pro-war activists and bush fans tend to reduce themselves to calling anti-war protesters idiots and uneducated fools. censorship is never right, even in situations where a pro-war website were ever to be shut down based on content, i would still protest against the act.

If the site has been shut down by the government for any reason of censorship it is wrong, wrong, wrong. This man will gladly donate 0.00 to their legal offense fund. They need to be in the Court House. If that is the case post the information of who is representing them and I'll be mailing my check ASAP.

Title

by Nona Yurbiz Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2003 at 5:19 AM

That looks like the typical statement of a damned

REDNECK. All "them fellers" stick for each other.

" 'cause", what benefits one, benefits All. (Rednecks)

That's why they're 100% for whatever their fellow rednecks in the white house do. because no matter what the outcome; it is always in the interest of the rednecks. damned racist bastards.

The solution here is, to VOTE as many rednecks out out of office as possible. This country will never change until we make the racial make up within the Gov reflective of the population.

at the next election vote for any nonwhite running for office. We need more racial deversity. I will vote for any black, hispanic, asian, arab,

ANYTHING BUT A REDNECK!!! from here on!

Sorry, I'm not so web savy

by my mouth is duct taped Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2003 at 7:49 AM

I'm very sorry T Rex for being so ignorant about web pages. My apologies. I'm certainly not a "high-tech" website manager or an (out of work) IT person. I just teach applied mathematics at the college level. What do I know about these incredibly complex internet issues. I had better go back to school and perhaps this time I should pick up a degree in "web design" ;-) Although I'm pretty busy, I will always make an effort to read all sides of the issue and will attempt to keep my government on it's toes. Censorship is not good --no matter which side of the fence it comes from. But thanks for the reply nonetheless.
