Since early morning, Monday, March 24th, several Chapman University students have started a hunger strike of unspecified length in protest of the U.S. war on Iraq. They plan on remaining in front of Argyros Fourm (the student building) day and night - soon, it will look much like a small refugee camp. I am all against war. Yet, I do not see what a hunger strike will do but hurt you.

So in order for their hunger strike to be valid, it has to be documented that they have no chance of stuffing their faces on the sly. Which means not taking off to classes or back to where they live. This students are from homes of over pampering, there is no way they will be able to do a creditable hunger strike, unless you mean striking is only between meals!

They're camping out in front of Argyros Forum. They are getting medical supervision. I don't think they have to prove anything to any doubters, this is a spiritual struggle.

Not everyone at Chapman is rich, either. They have a generous scholarship program and actively help students in finding financial aid. Keeps up the appearance of diversity ;) Of course, I doubt the sincerity of pro-war trolls chanting "down with the bourgeoisie..."

Let the fuckers die, it won't change anything, they will not die for what they believe in. In five years they'll be running Daddy's bank and keeping niggers pumpin gas.
