The peaceful demonstrators of the direct action network shut down the WTO meetings in Seattle 1999. There was a black block, they broke some stuff, but they can NOT calim the victory for Seattle WTO!

The road blockades, and blockades of the building stopped it. Those brave people stayed and blocked day after day, and sat/stood their ground when pepper sprayed, tear gassed, poked, prodded, hit with police batons, kicked, run at with police cars, shot at with rubber bullets and sound grenades. They stayed, and they blocked and they won. The black block punks broke stuff and ran, and they were somewhere else. They didn't shut down shit.

Peace Won.

These demonstrators -- better described as street rabble -- are completey ridiculous.

Most Americans just shake their heads when they see this stuff on TV.
