At 8 PM on Wednesday night, protestors at Anton & Bristol in Costa Mesa were threatened by a crazed pro-warrior.

Shortly after 8 PM at the corner of Bristol & Anton in Costa Mesa, the crowds of anti-war protestors had left. Only two 40-something women remained.

It came as a surprise to them when a man came screeching through the intersection in a navy blue Ford Expedition, and careened over the curb, coming within feet of striking them.

His window rolled down, the man proceeded to scream obscenities at the two ladies, then pulled his car around into the South Cost Plaza mall parking lot, exited his vehicle, and got in the womens' faces, screaming that he was going to punch them.

Unfortunately for him, Costa Mesa Police Department officers were defusing the situation only seconds after the man exited his car.

The man, who remains unidentified at this point, was placed under citizens' arrest (on behalf of the two women).

The women, who were very pleased that police were present to prevent violence from this man, were dismayed when, after separating the man from the women, the first officer on the scene went over to the two ladies and asked them, "Don't you remember what happened on 9/11?"
