Hi folks,

Efforts to promote a peaceful solution in Iraq continue, with millions of people in the US and abroad calling on George Bush and Tony Blair to halt their march towards war.

Despite these efforts, the Bush and Blair administrations move ever closer to escalation of military conflict in Iraq.

The unprecedented size and scope of public demonstrations for peace over the last several months - even before the formal escalation of hostilities by the US and Britain - suggests that protests anticipated after the start of Gulf War II will be massive.

The largest protest is anticipated to be at the location of the Federal Building on Wilshire Blvd. in West LA. Other protests are planned for Pasadena, Claremont, and downtown Los Angeles. (See below for details about scheduling and locations and URL for additional info.)

Physicians For Social Responsibility - LA will be helping to coordinate health care professionals (MD's, DO's, NP's, RN's, PA's, EMT's, etc) volunteering to provide health care at the site of the large protests planned in various locations around Southern California upon the beginning of Gulf War II.

The first aid stations planned for the Gulf War II protests will allow health care professionals the opportunity to provide basic first aid commensurate with the practitioners' level of training and comfort. Health care providers who can donate their services and/or supplies may contact PSR-LA for further information. We look forward to hearing from you!
