YOUTH TAKE THE STREETS!
An event aimed at the YOUTH that the goverment wants to recruit to fight the war, but this event does not exclude Adults, and kids of all ages.
So join us as we say
YES to
PEACE, EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE & JUSTICE...
& Say NO to
war, nuclear weapons, reinstalling the draft,
military recruiters brainwashing young people,
the Patriot Act, racial profiling, etc.
On SUNDAY, MARCH 16th, 2003 at 2pm
Meet at Pershing Square (corner of 6th and Hill st) to
March to Federal Building (Corner of Temple St. and Los Angeles st.)
where we will hold a rally with guest speakers and have bands play.
Now is the time for the youth to take the streets and let Uncle Sam know that we will not fight his dirty imperialist oil war! The same government that wants us to fight it's dirty war is the same government that smuggles drugs into our communities, represses our communities with police violence, imposes a system of institutionalized racism and criminalization on our communities while waging it's war around the world. For the past 11 years the United States has imposed sanctions on Iraq which have claimed the lives of 1.5 million civilians, and 500,000 children. Meanwhile Bush the Cowboy wants us to "Stand United" with stars and bars while he spills more blood for oil in the name of "counter-terrorism". We say Hell no!
