elBaradei exposes US as liars on Iraqi uranium imports

Calls documents evidencing Iraq's attempts to import uranium from Nigeria "not authentic." (It is believed these documents were provided by the US.)

elBaradei didn't come right out and accuse the US of forging the documents, but he said that forensic comparison of this so-called evidence with actual contracts and import documents obtained from Iraq and Nigeria indicates that the documents purporting to show uranium import attempts are "not authentic."

The clear implication is that these documents are fabrications created to deceive the world community, and that they incorporate such things as cut-and-paste signatures from actual documents. This cannot have been accidental, and reflects a cynical (and criminal) effort on the part of the United States to manufacture evidence against Iraq.

It will be interesting to see if this crucial development is pursued. Anyone with further details please post them.
