Left parties call removal of Chand government

KATHMANDU, Feb 26 – Meeting of nine left parties, including the CPN-UML, have demanded the removal of the Chand government.

The meeting concluded that the government was not able to represent the people and that it will not be able to resolve any prevailing problems of the country.

The meeting further said it was important that the parties must go back to the people immediately in order to protect the gain of the people’s movement of 1991.

However, the parties were not able to decide on any concrete action plans. (rk)
