Los Angeles Anti-War Resolution - 2nd vote at 10:00 am

by Los Angeles Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 at 7:47 AM

Friday at 10:00 am the Los Angeles City Council will be voting for the second itme on the anit-war resolution. Call your council members!

Subject: Help Los Angeles City Council Pass The Anti-War Resolution!

On Tuesday the L.A. City Council fell one vote short of passing Garcetti's Anti-War Resolution. On Friday it comes up for reconsideration. We have a historic opportunity to make L.A, the largest city so far to pass such a resolution. But we need you help:

Today:

Please phone, email or fax your city council member as well as the crucial swing votes listed below and the city council president. Have a positive attitude in your communication and ask their help in making L.A. the 100th city to pass such a resolution. In emails its best to use a subject line that get straight to the point like:

"Please support Garcetti's Anti-War Resolution"

or

"Support the Anti-War Resolution"

as that may be all that is read. It's the numbers that have the effect.

Key City Council members in this struggle are:

Jan Perry 9th District

213/485-3351; Fax: 213 473-5983 Email: perry@council.lacity.org

Nick Pacheco 14th District

213/485-3335; Fax: 213 847-0680 Email: pacheco@council.lacity.org

Alex Padilla, President, 7th District

213/847-7777; Fax: 213 847-0707 Email: padilla@council.lacity.org
